    Dreams

Hello all, I have been experiencing some really weird dreams since I have been pregnant, which I am guessing is a normal occurance?

We were told at our 12 week scan that it looked like (65%) we may be having a girl, however the whole way through this pregnancy I have thought we would be having a boy, not sure why?? I had a dream the other night that at our 20 week scan in a few weeks we were told we are having a boy, and I said to my husband, see I told you it was a boy.

Has anyone else had dreams about the sex of their babies, and been correct?

btw.. I am happy with whatever the sex of the baby is, as at the end of the day I will just be happy that we have a healthy baby with all their bits in the right places iykwim.

i've had odd dreams too! the first 4 weeks after we found out that i was up the duff i had dreams that it was a boy (and my 'waters' are telling me it is too) im like you i dont mind what i have as long as our blip is happy and healthy...

as for the odd dreams...i had a dream the world was ending. but not. it was all in slow mo with DF and one of his supervisers....and red and pink sky....and from what i rember...pinic baskets taking or trying to take over the world...or maybe it was lundry baskets....eather way the baskets where taking over...ohh and i had a really stange dream that our cat could talk...and the baby could only meeeow...and the cat showed the baby how to use the litter tray (im 19 weeks and already thinking about toliet training maybe?) so crazy dreams are normal...but im not sure baskets takeing over the world is.

Yes I have had some really scary dreams about loosing bump as well. But for some reason I kept thinking I was having a girl but I always dreamed that I was having a boy. Then 19 week scan said it was a boy but not with any certainty. I didn't get to see bumps bits so I am still not 100% sure. I have booked in a 4D scan at 28 weeks so that I can see his bits and feel assured that he is in fact a little man.

I've been having really vivid dreams too... mainly about work, family etc
I've only had a couple of dreams about bubs and they were mainly about breast feeding

I have amazingly vivid dreams, more so than usual. I sometimes have ones about the sex, but I have to say I was right with both my girls with just the "feeling" that they were girls. I'd say you could be right. 12 weeks is very very early to tell the sex and they often get it wrong at that stage. xo

I don't have dreams about the baby, all my dreams while pg are violent and awful. I mean REALLY bad. It was the same when I was pg with Steph.

I have been having some weird dreams lately too.

As for the sex, I think I'm having a girl, don't know why, just think so. Then a couple of wks ago I had a dream that my Pop was in (who died in June this year) and he told me that I was right it is a girl and what her name should be. Hmm.....we will see I guess.

I definately had weird very vivid dreams while pregnant!!

I had one where i had to count thousands of fresh green beans!! it was vitally important for some unknown reason!! I tend to have family and friends appear in these vivid dreams!!

Oh and they havent stopped - my DS is 5 and a half weeks old and i am still having the weird vivid dreams!!! Most recently i dremt that a friend of mine visited me with her 20 or so cats!! (which she doesnt actually have IRL!!) 3 of them were cute and cuddly- and the other 17 were attack cats!!! LOL

A couple of times during the first tri I dreamt I was having a girl so I was convinced I was having a girl. I was so shocked when the amnio results came in as a boy. The funny thing is that whenever we went looking at baby clothes before we knew the sex I was always drawn to the boys clothes, so I guess deep down I did know it was a boy.

When I was pregnant with DS I dreamt I had a boy. He was a toddler in the dream and had blonde, curly hair. DS now has blonde, curly hair.

Last night I dreamt this bub was a girl. Guess we'll find out in four months!

LOL to summer roll dream. H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S.

I've always had at least 3 dreams a night since i was a kid, but now they've become really bazaar... like the one where I dreamt i woke up and an alien was next to me using mind control to make me frozen and then touched my stomach (had that dream just before i found out i was pg). It was utterly terrifying cos i knew it was impregnating me with an alien x human baby!

And the other night I dreamt I went to afghanistan (to boost soldiers morale) and when they were taking me back to the airport they dropped me at the pub and were trying to get me to drink and my partner was there telling me no!.... Strange 2nd part to this is my mum phoned the day after and told me she'd been reading this great book about 2 girls forced into arranged marriages in afghanistan???!! odd.

And last night i had a dream my partner had a machine gun and was shooting at trucks....

it seems they all have a violent theme about them - perhaps i'll be giving birth to GI Joe??

I think dreams are really only the result of what are in the back of our minds...

Throughout my pregnancy I'm 15wks 4 days, I've felt it was a boy, only cos that chinese calendar says so, and cos i didnt have stong morning sickness...and I'm also not craving anything and basically lost most of my appetite, I'm usually a BIG FOOD lover! and now I'm just struggling to think of ideas for dinner/lunch cos nothing's appetising to me... Anyway maybe in the last week or so, I've been seriously asking myself, apart from a healthy baby, what do I really want? there's got a be some sorta preference...Either gender there are goods and bads...and I'd be bother happy and disappointed...I'd miss out on a little princess if I had a prince...or miss out on a little prince if I had a little princess...few nights ago I dreamt I had a little girl...I've never had dreams of gender before...but I strongly believe, that dream came by purely cos I suddenly focused on the gender so much! So I'm not gonna let a little dream get my hopes up...cos chances are if you've been talking yourself into thinking you're having a boy...you're gonna be dreaming about the same thing.

    me too

Ive always had odd dreams but they are getting weirder. They now feature family more than they did before and seem really real. before i was pregnant i dream of babies sex and everytime i did was a boy, one we kept the baby in our wardrobe and another my baby was like a shrunken version of its dad! But since ive been pregnant i had just one and we had a little girl and my OH left her on the sofa and my dad sat on her! So i think mines a girl, also i just felt instinctively like it was a girl. we were going to have sexing scan last week and this overwhelming feeling just hit me that it was my baby girl. Sadly couldnt see that day so were going to wait for a few more and then find out.
