thanks so much for your post - congrats on your half marathon in April, was this your first one?

Building up slowly is the way to go especially since you had 6 weeks without running. I had to take off about 10 days of running from about weeks 7-8/9....and then started to run/walk again - in week 9. Now, in my 17th week, I am looking forward to doing a
10km fun run at the end of August, so I will be 19.5 weeks by then...wow, almost half way through!

You have a great attitude - just do what you feel like and want to do!! Your body and mind will thank you in the long term..

I think what will be HARDER is trying to get out for runs in the morning with a newborn baby AND and a 6 year old about to start school!! Organisation will be EVERYTHING (and very early starts!).
