Second trimester bliss - anyone else want to share??

I *love* this time in pregnancy. The baby is there, kicking and showing quite well, but not so big that you're horribly uncomfortable and can't sleep (well, most of the time!).

The morning sickness has largely gone and the fatigue, but you're pregnant enough that if you do feel tired, people don't mind you going and having a rest.

The hormones are settling down into that happy-go-lucky sort of vague bliss-ninny state...

I just love it. Is anyone else sharing the mid-pregnancy jollies or am I just making some of you want to throw a rock at my head?

Oh those few weeks were so lovely, i have just about reached the other end now, getting up to pee, uncomfortable to sleep and the heartburn has begun!
I do love the second tri though. Live it up!

Oh how wonderful the second tri was for me!!! I just loved it and completely understand how you feel - no rock throwing coming from me

Being my first pg, I was most unhappy to realise that it doesn't last! Am counting down the days now

For me it just sort of kicked in all of a sudden at nineteen weeks. I'd been feeling exhausted and miserable before then. From my past experience (this is my sixth baby) it will last for me until about thirty weeks when I will be huge - plus that will be the middle of the hottest time of the year. Thank goodness I live near the beach! (Although I may have to look out for the Greenpeace people coming to roll me back into the water....)

I'm also loving this stage at the moment too.

My MS stopped about 10/11w, i got HB at about 14w whach has now settled, my headaches have eased too. I still find i tire easy 7 the afternoon is by far the worst time of day for me.

I'm sooo loving my bump & the shape of it too. Bubs started giving me proper kicks from last week & i just love feeling our Monkey moving within. For me it's reassuring that all is ok within, it's calming to.

I'm finding too that in the last few weeks i've been craving white chocolate & also banana ice cream, 2 things i hardly ever ate before.

I'm loving it too I was blessed with no M/S, however so glad for a break from the absolute exhaustion, and totally loving the kicking and rolling around that I'm feeling inside hehe! I have been suffering with the heartburn/reflux the last few weeks though, I never know it could be so painful to have reflux! no wonder babies scream and scream and scream when they get it!!

about what week do the aches and tiredness settle in again?

Awwww.... hope you get some blissful moments.

My eighteen year old is going through her second (third?) toddlerhood at the moment, and I'm treating my pregnancy like a blissful respite. Shame they can't stay cute (and in utero) forever...

Ooooh, I can't wait until I am there!
I am still so very tired all the time, fortunately not feeling sick at all anymore, but only just starting to feel the flutters of 'possible' baby movements.
I remember last pg sitting after having pancakes for brekky at about 25wks pg and watching my tummy move with Natty's sugar-high kicking! It was sooooo awesome and so much fun! I can't wait to experience all that again
So glad you are having a lovely 2nd tri, toomany. Enjoy!!! (And PMSL about Greenpeace! )

Oh im jealous! I had a horrible second trimester. Morning sickness, heartburn, sciatica, headaches, fatigue, lethargic. Only in the last say 4 weeks has my morning sickness completely gone but i still have the heartburn, sciatica and fatigue. Not so lethargic (only sometimes) but still dont have a great appetite either. Plus now i feel huge and umcomfortable and can't sleep and need to pee all the time. Oh and i still have another 8+ weeks of this!

I haven't reached bliss stage or baby moving stage yet.

Do feel huge and bloated though, heartburn, on sleeping meds that put me out for all of Friday and Saturday....needless to say I am getting them changed on Thursday when I see my doc!

I am feeling a bit impatient about it though...want to look and feel pregnant finally!

Everyones experiences are so different, amazing isnt it!?

My second tri is good. I dont even feel pregnant! I was releved to see the heart beat today at my checkup to remind me I am actually pregnant!
My 24/7 MS eased at 16 weeks... I only feel slightly off here & there
I dont feel tired and operating fine! No belly yet, slowly starting to pop out, but all of my clothes still fit (scales at docs today said ive lost weight which is ok considering im overweight)
Have felt the baby most nights, giving me a kick or not letting me sleep a certain way!
So yes - I must be one of the lucky ones!

I have loved being pregnant. And as I sit here and reflect on the entire pregnancy I am reminded how much God has blessed me. Not only did we fall pregnant the first time we tried but I have not suffered with anything very badly. A few weeks of morning sickness which was not that bad. The worse part was the dislocated ribs in 2nd Tri, but that has well and truly gone now. A few teary days and other than that I have felt on top of the world. Now I am only 6 days away from meeting our little angel and I am trying to cherish the last few days of being pregnant. Feeling his movements and rubbing and holding him from outside my tummy.

Even though some of us may suffer during pregnancy we must try to remember there are so many women who would gladly endure much more to have the chance to carry a baby full term. We are all blessed. It really is Gods true miracle.
