    Short of breath

This pregnancy is so different from the last!

I seem to be quite short of breath, even jsut sitting still, I feel I can't quite get a breath in. No heart racing or faintness, jsut feel puffed doing nothing. Wuga2 is transverse and sitting high, but I am only nearly 22 weeks. What is this going to be like further down the track???? Is it just because he/she is lying that way that this happens or could it be something else?

sounds similar to what i have, but i have a very unusual heart racing/pulpatation along with the shortness of breath, and it only happens for about a minute each time.

Mine was put down to anxiety, even though im not anxious about anything (that i know of)

but just get it checked out with ur doc, cause as you said, if ur only 22 weeks, heres to hoping it wont get worst :/

all the best, hope it eases a little soon xx

I get short of breath at times too and have been since about 19 weeks. Once bub changes position I am ok... I feel it mostly when sitting in the car. I have had it about this stage in all of my pregnancies. It has been put down to bubs position and because I am fairly short waisted so not much room in there.

Have you thought about having your iron levels checked? I had terrible shortness of breath when I was iron deficient. That was one of the first symptoms. As I didn't know what it was, I didn't get it treated and it lead to other symptoms such as dizziness, extreme exhaustion and funny vision.

Just a thought. I hope that it is nothing serious and that it settles down soon for you. Have a chat to your caregiver - they will let you know if there is anything to be concerned about
