Hey all,
I am 19 weeks tomorrow. I have been reading on the net that some ladies play music to their babies in utero. I think that it sounds like a nice idea. Wondering if any of did this and if so, what songs did you play?

When i first found out i was pregnant, i was really into Sneaky Sound System, so all throughout the 1st and 2nd trimesters i would play it really loud every time we went in the car and sing to it too
She was always still when it was playing, once it stopped she'd start moving again! Almost like she was concentrating and listening to the sounds!![]()
I get lots of reponses to music that I play loudly in the car when going to and from work. The other day Ramlet was seriously rocking out to Run DMC.My music tastes extend from one end of the scale to the other....Enya doesn't get too much of a result but stuff with more bass of course gets a reaction. James was subjected to alot of different music via headphones on my tummy, Robert Miles seemed to be a favourite for him (soft techno) and he was a very easy baby.
singing is good if you enjoy it - if you choose a song or lullaby that you sing while pregnant you may find your baby recognises it after it's born.
This is a Jenny Morris song that I've planned to play to my unborn bub since the day I heard it.
"Little Little"
Pulsing away, just like thunder in your little ear
Be brave, it won't be long till you meet us
My blood is your blood
I'll feel you till the day I die
Dear little little, sweet little little
I love every little thing about you
Even though I can't see your shining eyes
I can tell I'm gonna love you
By the way I love you now
And it's your little little kick down below
Makes me feel the strength of a hundred forces
I never felt the power of a love like this before
Noises from outside, you hardly hea-ear at all
Your lifeline pulses with anticipation
No dark and dim thoughts
Confound your little head
Floating in paradise
Remember little little little
I love every little think about you
Even though I can't see your shining eyes
I can tell I'm gonna love you
By the way I love you now
See what you can do
And you haven't even showed your face to the world yet
You've got power we've forgotten
Everybody's born with, but they lose it
I love every little thing about you
Even though I can't see your shining eyes
I can tell I'm gonna love you
By the way I love you now
And it's your little little kick down below
Makes me feel the strength of a hundred forces
I never felt the power of a love like this before
And I love you little little
I love you little little little
Im big on music so its always playing in our house/car. I played Fall Out Boy "This aint a scene" alot while heavily pregnant with my son, as well as Bob Sinclair and Elvis. Guess what my son loves to listen to? All of the above lol His favourite song is 'This aint a scene', even now at 13mths old as soon as we put it on he goes quiet, then starts busting a move and "singing".
Play whatever your in too music wise. Bub will pick and choose as s/he gets older anyway. My bub will listen to just about anything, Channel [V] is his favourite tv channel lol
