    Question Still not showing

    Hi All
I am 16 weeks pregnant tomorrow and still not really showing, my belly looks almost the same as it did before I was pregnant.
During my 1st tri I had m/s quite bad up until week 14 and lost 4kgs, but since then I have felt fine and have gotten my appetite back.
Is it normal to still be not showing? Am beginning to worry that my baby is not growing or as big as it should be.

Normal as. Everyone is different so they say. I popped abit straight away, but even now, some days i look like i not preg at all, depending on what i wear. Naked, i have a tum, but nothing major. Just feels firm. And somedays, i reckon its bigger, and firmer then others. Must depend on what position bubs is in.

    Hi Emma,

Oh you poor thing! Don't stress at all everyone is completely different in how they show and look in pregnancy. before i fell pregnant with my first DD i would say i my tummy was flat as then i just expanded over time and i ended up being huge in teh belly ie - i ended up having a 10pound 5 baby. This preganancy i have just expanded straight away and showed early i am 20weeks + and i lok as if i am at least 7mths prgnant! LOL.

Just enjoy every little moment of being pregnant. Gosh you must be one of the lucky ones that doesnt show at all and will keep there figure easily... If only i was! LOL

If you are really concerned may i suggest yo go and see you Ob aor GP to ask some questions. Yu may also find that you will not show until later in your pregnancy as well!

Chin up and i am sure everything is A ok!

    Thanks for the reassurance ladies,
I think I have just been comparing myself too much to photos of other people who are at the same stage as I am, and making myself worry. But as you say everyone is different.
    Thanks again.

    Hi Emma
I wouldnt stress this is your first pregnancy so your stomach muscles are pretty strong, your just holding your bubs a little firmer.
Wait till your belly gets huge and you bump it all the time, then you will be wishing your belly was little again!

Hi there - I am 17 weeks and am also not really showing (I can notice it, but no-one else seems to be able to!)

I went to a family BBQ yesterday and they were all disappointed in my no-show of a bump, as they hadn't seen me since Christmas and were expecting me to be a bit larger!!!

Don't let it bother you, as mum2bee says, some days do definitely feel bigger than others and it depends what clothes I am wearing, but I reckon it won't be long before the belly becomes noticable.

I didn't really start showing until after 20 weeks, and even then not much, I still get people saying I look very 'compact' for my dates. They do say with your first pregnancy you can start showing later and your tummy muscles haven't stretched before. Everyone tells me I'll probably get really big right at the end!

Emma dont worry too much about it. I didnt really show until about 17 - 18 weeeks.

My midwife also told me that with your first pregnancy you usually take a bit longer to show because of your abs being tighter.

    Hi Emma
Try not to worry so much hun. Everyone is different. Some women don’t start to show until 20 weeks. I’m sure you will get a belly very soon

    Emma,
i didn't show until 25 weeks.. I lost 8 kilos first due to morning sickness until 13 weeks. Every pregnancy is different, i though there was something wrong and i asked the same question. I am now 36 weeks and i am huge.....

People still don't realise I'm pregnant unless I tell them and I'm just over 22 wks.
All depends on your build etc - I'm measuring the right size, but as I started with a really flat stomach and good abs, it looked as though nothing was going on until just the other week.

It gets annoying when people keep saying how small you are though - some have asked if I'm eating properly or trying to 'hold it in'!!!! AaarrrggghhhH!!!!

Completely normal. I started showing at around 15 weeks but my SIL didn't have a belly until 20 weeks. Bubby will let it all hang out when when are good and ready. They already have a mind of their own. It won't be long and your belly will be getting in the way.
