    Stitch pain?

Since i woke up on Saturday i've been having a stitch like pain around near my right ovary area. It almost feels like the ovulation pains i used to get. It's a lot worse when i stand up and am walking around or going to the toilet (sorry TMI!) is this normal? It's starting to worry me as it's been hanging around for a few days now.

    Hi Boo!

I've been getting the same pains on and off for a few weeks. I've had about 6 episodes of it and two were actually quite bad (one was last night). My pain originates from my back then goes through to my right ovary area (as you said, like ovulation pain). When it gets too bad, I take two panadol.

I have an appointment with the ob on Wednesdy so I'll mention it but I'm sure it is all normal.

Hopefully it doesnt last too long for you .....

could it be that you have 'pulled' the muscle a bit when yuo get up/turn over etc? physio told me that as i got bigger i need to support myself more when i do this and i cant just jump up like i normally do... this has helped me... (though i imagine at this stage i have a lot more weight to lug around than you girls do ha ha!!) hope it gets better soon.

I had a stitch like pain too the other day, it lasted for around two days I think. I am pretty sure that I actually pulled a muscle, it was down low in my tummy on the left side. Felt exactly like a bad stitch though. And when I went walking with a friend the next day I really had to take it easy otherwise it hurt quite badly. Just take it easy and hopefully it will go soon, especially if you have just pulled a muscle which I reckon is quite easy to do during pregnancy. Maybe you slept really weird or something and did it in your sleep.

I had various different pains and things I have spoken to the Ob about and she said you will experience different pains and things as you go long, weather it be stretching, bubby sitting on something, things moving to make way for growing bub etc. Its when the pain gets really intense you should see your Dr. Mention it to them next time your in there to be on the safe side, but it all sounds quite normal to me.
    Take care

Thanks for all your replies. I had a scan last Monday and mentioned it to the nurse at the time, she checked for any cysts on my ovaries but thankfully there weren't any there and there was nothing out of the ordinary - funnily enough the pain stopped the next day. My Ob said the same as you guys that i probably strained a muscle in there somewhere rolling over during the night and that i should just be careful in the way that i move around and make sure that i support myself when getting up, rolling over etc...
