Swollen Ankle?

Hi everyone,
Last night my left ankle become quite swollen, almost to the point where I couldn't stand on it, and it was very sore. Does that sound like a pregnancy thing to you, keeping in mind that it was only one ankle? I thought if it was pregnancy related it would have been both feet?

I did take my dog for a walk yesterday, even though I don't remember doing it, maybe I rolled it a little while I was walking?

Any thoughts?

It could be due to your pregnancy. If you have been sitting with your legs crossed then this could cause swelling in only 1 ankle. But as you say it could be due to other things. Whatever it is due to, providing that you do not have a pain in your calf, I don’t think it is anything to worry about. Just think about the position of your legs when sitting.

Thanks Alan - I am always sitting with my legs crossed and forever trying to remember to uncross them! I was sitting at the desk with my legs crossed while I was reading your reply!

I have found that I had this same problem the other night. I noticed it while i was in the shower. I had been walking around the shops all day and it was only in my left ankle.

seemed very bizzare to me. I didn't have any pain, and the swelling went down after resting for a while.
