Tummy ache & stitch - is this normal?

Hi
I am 16wks pregnant and for the last few days have had awful stomach ache and stitch-like feelings down my sides - is this normal? I also have a sore lower back.

Sorry I am being a little paranoid and just wondered if anyone else had these aches this early in pregnancy.

Hi Tess,

Just saw your thread, and yep i get them too!! I think it's just your muscles making room for your growing little bundle! Somedays i can't even walk properly it hurts so much!! But then lucky we have DP/DH to give us a good back rub!!!

If you're really concerned ask your DR about it, but mine usually last for a whole day/evening and then after getting a good nights sleep i feel much better

Me too, i often have pains that resemble stitches or pulled muscles and as Kiera says they can last anything from all day to just a couple of hrs. I'm sure the discomfort you are feeling is nothing to stress about but if you are worried pls see a dr. Hope you are feeling better.

Thank you both so much - after a good nights sleep I feel much better today. I appreciate your replies - it is nice to know I am not alone with my aches and pains.

Might have to get DH to give me that back rub anyway - aches or not (hee hee).
