    tummy tightness..and pain..??

    i have been wakign up in the early hours of the morning lately with a feeling of all over tightness over my entire belly and when i roll over it feels like a cramp.. its not that painful, and goes away very quickly, but it has happened everyday this week.... is this a normal thing? is it braxton hicks again?
    i was having them durign my last ultrasound, and bubbles has been very active lately too, but i dont hink its more than usual. i get this nasty crampy feeling on my right hand side too along my tummy line.. should i be calling somebody or it it my body starting to get ready for labour? even thought its still 98 days away???

    Hi Lisa
    I would think that it is BH. Providing that yhe contractions are not regular then there is nothing to worry about.

    was suffering from the same thing lately, it lasts for a few hours for me, is that normal? its rather uncomfortable, bordering on painful!

    Yes Braxton Hicks can last for quite some time and be painful. Often walking can ease the pain a little

    I've had braxton hicks last up to 4 hours and quite painful too. Sometimes i thought it was actually labour.

    its so good to know its normal! If it is happening so, well, strongly now, does that mean its going to get more intense as the pregnancy progresses? Have had none today so far!

    It is hard to say what will happen. It is different for different women. Sometimes they may not even come back until late in pregnancy othertimes you may just feel your tummy tightening without any pain.
