two issues : baby moving/no clothes fit!

    HI all,
i'm a little worried cause i'm nearly 20 weeks and i haven't felt my baby move. i feel ALOt of other feelings down there like something pressing against the wall of..i guess my uterus- a real pressure feeling and sometimes when i stand up it feels like something down there doesn't quite move upwards with the same speed that i do. BUT no pretty fluttery sweet movements. I'm starting to get upset.

Also, i have put on about 8kg already and i feel like a BLIMP! not one single piece of clothing fits me and i have new found cellulite on my legs. I try to tell myself its okay but i can't help getting jealous of other pregnant women who look like they only put on weight around their abdomen. I have gone from a size 12 pants to a 14-16- my butt is bigger than my tummy!!!!!

anyway that has got me down a little bit this weekend. Anyone else feel the same?

Congrats on your pg hun!! I started feeling movement at around 21 weeks, remember that there is alot cushioning your little one right now so it is sometimes difficult to feel, rest assured you will start feeling them very soon! Have you had you 20 weeks scan - that should help you rest your fears too!

I also put on 6 kgs in the first 12 weeks and then 15 kgs all up, its normal to have your body adjust to this new person growing inside you, just try to eat healthily as possible and you will be fine! In a few weeks time it will all proportion itself out!
Wishing you well for the next few months!
    xoxo

    Hi Bea
I agree, your bubs is well cushioned in there and some people don't feel movement for a few weeks yet, don't stress, your bubba will be fine!
I hear ya on the "blimp" thing. I have no idea how much weight I've put on so far, it wouldn't be all that much but when you're used to being a certain weight and then all of a sudden you have all this other weight, well you do start to feel like a blimp, so I guess it's just all part of the fun

With Chelsea i never felt movement til around 20-21 weeks... and this time nothing til around 22-23 weeks (and 2nd is ment to be felt earlier...not in my case..LOL).

On the clothes issue and feeling like a blimp..yeah it got me down too...but u have a good reason for them not to fit. Enjoy your new body

I think my weight gain has been boobies, tummy and def my legs!! Butt stayed the same. Was big enuf before hand!!

    Hi Bea
Don't worry hun. It is common for a first time mum not to feel the baby move until week 23. It will happen soon.

i was in your shoes only a few weeks a go - and i wasnt worried untill my doctor asked me about movment in a very concerned voice
but it wasnt untill week 25 i actually felt my first foot in the tummy so hang in there and it will happen when u least expect it .

You sound just like me 1.5 wks ago in regards to movements. I couldn't feel any definite movements, just a 'shift' which sounds like what you described. At my scan they told me the placenta is anterior, which I had read about, so that was why I couldn't really feel anything. But now every day I feel her for sure, especially today... it would seem she's having a party in there. Obviously realised she as room in there atm and she ought to enjoy it!

    hi there
i didnt feel bubs move for quite a long time - i think it was around 23 wks... i had an anterior placenta which can also mask the movts quite a lot.\
i know the blimp feeling, i think we all get that at some pts in the pregnancy, esp before the bump becomes v pronounced... go treat yourself to some pampering, that will make you feel a lot better.
    enjoy your pregnancy!
