Feeling awfully worried! What can I do to feel my bub's movements?
Okay, as weird as it may sound, I know I may look like a complete idiot. Yesterday, I tripped over something and landed "gently" on the floor on both my legs. It was nothing harsh or painful and I didn't hurt myself from anything. The most important thing was that my belly didn't land on the floor as I could imagine the worst being my face and belly landing on the floor. I have no bruises on my legs, no belly cramps, and of course no bleeding! In a way, I feel relieved. At the same time, I feel awfully worried. I've already had my 12 week ultrasound. Everything was great. Well, now, I don't know because at this point, I can't feel any movements yet as it is still too early. I had some flutters but that was before my 12 week scan. Now, I am sitting and wondering every moment I have if my bub's doing okay inside. Even though this is my second pregnancy, I can't help but feeling so awfully worried about how my bub's doing inside me. I was hoping that drinking something cold and sour (orange juice) would make my bub hit me just for some reassurance so I don't go crazy. My 2nd ultrasound is on Dec. 9.... that's still quite a way to go. Anyone has any suggestion on how to go on these few weeks without going mental?
No idea, but bubs is so well cushioned in there.
I feel over at aroun 37weeks, and we freaked a little, but luckily I was far enough along to feel movements.
I kind of know how you feel, as I have been spotting on and off for 4 weeks and saw my bub 2 weeks ago, but have this constant worry that bubs is in danger in my belly. I am def someone who overthinks things though. LOL
If it does make you feel better, I would suggest going to see your OBS or GP. At least they may be able to give you a quick scan for peice of mind.
Other than that, I have no idea. 'Try' not to worry (haha I know, sure...), and look after yourself.
I'm sure bubs is just kicking around in there without a worry in the world.
The other day my sister was telling me that she hadn't felt her baby move all day, and she was freaking out - so she ate heaps of sugar! I laughed at her, but she said pretty soon bubs was very active!!
I'm not sure how it would work at 13 weeks though - have you felt the baby move before?
And I agree - bubs is VERY well padded in there - probably didn't even notice!
I'd say bub will be fine, at that stage baby is so small and well protected by the uterus and the surrounds that small falls like that wouldn't affect baby.
That being said, I know how scary it is not to feel baby and I highly doubt you will get baby to move for you by eating anything at that gestation. My advice if you're really worried to see your GP (most GP's wont do heartbeat checks until after 20 weeks as it can be very difficult to get and just make Mum worry more if no luck), or go to the hospital where you will be having baby and ask them to get bub's hb on a doppler (call first to make sure its not super busy and its OK for you to go at that gestation).
