Unexplained "spot" on 20 week ultrasound

I am gonna agree with Aussienic here. I refuse to accept no information from doctors, nurses or anyone medical anymore.

I once went to a doctor about a persistent cold with painful cough that was really bringing me down. He did the usual examinations, wrote a prescription and sent me on my way. Off I go, walk into the pharmacy and suddenly it dawns on me - What is wrong with me????? He didn't say anything at all. O.o

So I ask the pharmacist instead what the prescription is used for treating to get some idea of what my problem is... "Stomach ulcers".

I dont fill the prescription, go to the hospital and am admitted with pneumonia.

Since that day, I have never left a surgery until they can properly explain everything, and if they give me a prescription, I ask the pharmacist if its the right one for my condition before I fill it.

Never ever let them get away with minimal information, and in things like ultrasounds and imaging, ask the sonographer lots of questions. Get as much information from him/her as possible. Then never be afraid to get a second, or third, or fourth opinion if people keep saying "its nothing". My Nan had a serious B12 deficiency, which was breaking down the neural pathways in her brain and she was acting more and more like an Alzheimer patient every day, and every doctor said "There is nothing wrong with her" until we got her to a doctor in the middle of a retirement village. This woman knew exactly what was wrong and treated her immediately.

Last but not least, don't feel ashamed to educate your doctor if you tell them about something and they stare at you blankly. Contrary to popular belief, not every doctor knows everything about every medical condition. Mine spent last night studying up on Anti-e and Vaso-Vagal Trypanophobia so that he can improve his level of care of me. When you find a doctor that good - stick to them!

Its your right to know, so ask.

A friend of mine had similar issues and after more searching it was found that bubs has cycts on his lungs. After all her stress through out the pregnancy bubs was born healthy but yes has cysts on his lungs. He has his operation to remove in a few weeks.

But saying that. When they saw the mark on the US they immidiatley scheduled a scan at the FMU at the hospital as there scans can zoom in etc.

I think if it was something serious that you would have been bookedback in ASAP. BUT saying that if your worried (as i'd be too) i would ask for another scan. Phone them and tell them that they have stressed you out your worried and you'd like it investigated to put your mind at ease.
