    Uterus height at 16 weeks?

Hi I am just wondering where everyone felt there uterus at about 16 weeks. Mine still feels fairly low. I was talking to a girl at work and she said it should be about 16cms from the top of my pubic bone. No way that it's that far.

When I was 12 weeks I could only just feel it popping out?

    Any thoughts?

It should be around 16cm from the pubic bone, but anywhere whithin a few cm is fine.
I only just started to feel mine about 12 weeks too. I'd wait til your next appointment before you even think about worrying.
I'm sure when your doc measures it'll be right where its supposed to be, or within normal measurements
Oh & its from the middle of your pubic bone too, the top could vary, lol. As long as you can feel it I'm sure its right where it should be

    Thanks for your reply Clover!

I had an appointment with the Ob today and they did a quick scan.
My baby is lying in a transverse position across my tummy she said that is why it isn't as high!

I just can't wait til I can feel it so I know it's okay in there!

Mine hasn't been checked one yet this pregnancy.... but as I am having fortnightly scans they can see what is happening anyway.....

I got measured on Wednesday at 14cm from pubic bone to the top of my uterus but I am 18 weeks... I wouldn't worry about measurements. As long as you have a healthy bubs then that's what matters.

My ob never measures fundal height until I'm over 20 weeks, even then it can vary with the position of the baby. As long as bubba is happy in there everything is fine!

I always measured smaller because bubby was transverse - naughty thing! And for my petite frame I had a whopping 8lb 10oz (3910g) baby!!!!

Fundal height isn't all that accurate for reasons like that. Don't worry too much about it.
