I would get basics in a 0000 and 000 - a couple of singlets, jumpsuits etc. You will get HEAPS of presents of clothes and the shops all sell baby clothes - even Coles and Safeway. I found MAckenzie was in 0000 at the hospital and for a couple of days but already she has grown out of them. It also depends on the brand. I would still get a few essentials so you feel prepared - I'm glad I did even if she wore them for only a week!
