    What could it be??

    Morning Ladies,

Just wanting a little bit of advice... I am currently 26 weeks with my third child. I woke up this morning and thought that I had wet my pants... My undies and legs were all wet. At first I thought it was sweat but didnt really feel like that. I thought it could be just normal CM discharge, but it is watery and clear. I put a panty liner on which is now very damp, again with a thin clear liquid. It has no real smell. Maybe TMI but my DH and I started to DTD last night but stopped because I had a sharp pain in my belly, kinda low and in the middle. I have had that pain a couple more times this morning too. Bubs is moving around lots.. so I know that he is ok... but there really is a LOT of discharge. I know that discharge is normal for around this time... but so much.. and of that consistency??

    Any thoughts???

Go and get it checked out.
Amniotic fluid would normally have a fairly strong smell, but it wouldnt be the first time I'd heard of someone having a leak and not knowing about it. Better to feel silly over CM than miss something that could potentially be a health issue.

You better go and get checked out. Hopefully it's nothing but it will put your mind at ease

i'll jump on the "get it checked" bandwagon - friend of mine had leaking waters a week and thought it was just CM - her little bubba was born at 25w3d - thankfully she's ok (was born late sept) - but it was only because we got on K's back to go and get checked out.

always better to be safe than sorry hun

    good luck

I agree, definitely get checked out just to be on the safe side. Even if it's not your waters leaking, at least you'll have peace of mind. Can you ring your Ob or hospital today?

Thanks for your posts ladies.. I called the hospital and they said to monitor it for a day or two.. which I have and it seems to have eased up. Still lots of CM but of a better consistency now!! So crossed fingers is all good!
