i'm really slack and still haven't finished packing mine yet. it's hard cos i'm still wearing stuff, i don't have a lot of clothes that fit me now so i'm still using clothes that i want to pack......plan to finish packing it this week some time!

I am still packing mine LOL!!!! I have pjs etc in there but i figure I will do most of it in early labour. DH and I did a bit last night as I did have a couple of big contractions.. and as my OB told me today I am 3cm dilated and to be prepared for it all to kick off at any time I think we will finish off the major things tonight!! There is no way i could have done it at 26 wks though!

I'm not planning on packing mine till about 38 weeks, at the earliest. I went 10 days over with DD and not expecting to go early this time either!

I think 26 weeks is waaaaaay too early as you're probably still wearing/using all the stuff you need to put in there?!

Tasha lol i packed mine and babies bag today

I figured i'd pack what i had and then i could see what i didn't have . No harm in packing early .. i plan to go through it in the last week just to make sure or add/remove what i need.

I got caught out with my last labour (3rd pregnancy) my first two pregnancies went over my date so i was really laid back and whammo right when i didn't expect it she came and caught me off gaurd.

I think I had stuff semi-packed from about 30 weeks, but that is because one of my bellybuddies had her bub at 27 weeks (another had hers at 33 weeks so I really packed then)
That said, this time around I think I will get DH to throw some stuff in an overnight bag once contractions start - I am so much more relaxed this time it is shameful LOL!

I packed mine around 36 weeks, but ended up re-packing it the night before I had her (I must have been nesting!)

    Hi

I started packing things in bags at around 34-35 weeks, but because I was still wearing most of the stuff I wanted to take with me, I ended up just making a list of things that I knew I wanted, so that if I had to get moving in a hurry (which I did), then I could tick things off the list as they were thrown in the bags. Also, having a list meant that DP could help with the last minute packing too, without me getting cranky!
I did this for both hospital & labour bags, although the Baby bag was packed by around 37 weeks. And repacked at 38 & 39 weeks...

Yeah, i think 26 weeks maybe too early - your still wearing/using most of stuff you would pack anyway. No harm in doing a list though, popping it on the fridge and adding as you remember things......i think i started packing mine around 35-36 wks.......

i kept planning on packing mine after 38wks but then my daughter decided she was coming at 36wks so I just throw things in a bag and my DH put anything else I needed in for me

I packed my bag at 38 weeks...this time, I think I'll just pack the labour bag as best I can and whatever isn't in it, will be on a note pinned to the bag to be included and same with my hospital bag. The nappy bag will be ready to go in a couple of weeks!!! LOL

I packed mine at 36 weeks and have been adding and rearranging thigns ever since! They're pretty right to go now with a few essentials to add. I did make a list around 26 weeks though and bought things like a 5 pack of black undies, pads, new white socks - all the important stuff!

I still haven't packed and I spent 2 night's in hospital last week having had early contractions! The threat that it may happen again still hasn't made me pack although when i was in there I did make a list. At least now I know what I want to take but I'm not brave enough to pack it yet. That's like admitting something going to happen, and it's not yet! (Are you listening belly??? )

GP and obs told me to start planning bags.... so i've got whats going in to them all set out on my spare bed! I'm the worst at packing, so no doubt DH will have to get me more stuff.
But other than that pretty much packed appart from putting it in the bag!

Kirbstar, I haven't packed any bags as yet - I am a shocker for last minute things. Guess what?! My baby girl is due on New Years Eve too! How cool is that!

    WOW.... Bindy!

Your bubba even has a name.... so your more organised than me in that department thats for sure. We are still throwing around different combinations of names.

So do you and your doc's think Madeleine will come around her due date...? Thats would be pretty cool if she did! We have just been diagnosed with pre eclampsia so could be anytime. Hence the reason i'm organised with hospital bags, otherwise i would be doing it during early labour!

    Hi ladies,

Am going to be writing my lists this week and possibly organising the nappy bag for bubs.... as soon as i buy one! LOL I'm usually pretty good with organising, but i just don't want to pre em pt fate by packing it i guess! LOL but from what i have heard and experienced from my SIL i WILL be sorting the bags out in the next few weeks! better safe than sorry i guess.
