I felt the butterflies at 12wk 6 days. Proper kicks didn't start until about 17 or 18 weeks. My mum said that with her 3 pg's she felt all first movements between 11-13wks! Its such a beautiful feeling.
Well I am still waiting to feel Goober move... & am almost 20 weeks... will find out in 2 days is all is well with Goober...
I am almost 17 weeks and yet to feel any movement!
i have been waiting very patientley tho!
It seems to vary so much.
I felt this one move for the first time around 12 weeks. Just very light tapping sensations below the navel. It was funny but I knew straight away what it was. I've never had wind in quite that spot before!
DH was just complaining about how he hasn't felt the little'un move, but I reckon that's because he doesn't have the patience. And also coz the little'un seems to stop the minute anyone puts a hand on my tummy.
I've only felt him/her from the outside because i'm prepared to sit for hours with my hand on my tummy waiting for that proper kick...
Though I'm sure soon it'll be so that even the smallest movement will be easily felt from the outside!
love

Having just said that... i felt movement on Tuesday night! and again last night!
My boyfriend fell asleep with his hand on my belly waiting for another movement... but nothing since!
Its a nice little reminder that there is a little life inside my belly!

I first felt movement (definately NOT gas!!... silly family & friends) at 14w4d. This is my first pg to go beyond 14w although I have had an early 1st tri miscarriage and one just before 14w... maybe that makes a difference?
I felt something reasonably definite at 16.5 weeks, but haven't felt anything quite so definite since. Guess it was bubba doing a 360 or something. They have become more regular at about 18 weeks (now) which is great and so reassuring. More like tapping sensation now, rather then the gassy/ripples that I felt before other then the 360. Bubba must be going to be an acrobat. :cryinglaugh:
I dont belong in this forum but I feel bub now! Just the flutters.
Soooo nice!
Im Only 10 weeks and 2 days but im sure last night and this morning i felt the baby, it was like 2 little pats, last night when i felt it i thought naa its too early but then again this morning im starting to wonder, i felt DD at 16 weeks.
I started feeling it around 16 and 1/2 weeks. But hubby couldn't feel them until around 18 weeks.
I first felt my baby a day before i started week 18 ... it was like three little taps low down in my stomach.. since then I feel at least 2 of them a day and i looooove it... before i started feeling the kicks/taps i was so paranoid i wanted to get an ultrasound everyday , now i have a new way to check that its all ok :)

Yeah I know what you mean Enigma, I was always worried, and concerned with the size of my belly too but now I am feeling regular kicks it is so very reassuing and amazing at the same time. Once I reached 20 weeks my DP could feel them from the outside and now they are so regular and strong it is great. Good bubba for helping me not worry anymore!
shereejoy - I was reading ur journal on one of the other sites :) and now I see your here too.... well done to you.. I got stressed everytime i read that you were bleeding again... grr.... Yes it is, so what is your username on the other site?

think it might be enigma aswell... I just read the other sites but I write on this one :)
Well nice to meet you enigma, you are not far behind me in your pregnancy. Thank you for making comment on my bleeding dramas, but all is good now and going really strong, a true miracle.
I have added you to my MSN, so hopefully we can chat sometime.
Take care
Sheree
This is my first pregnancy, and I swear that I felt flutters at 14 weeks. Then I felt nothing for a week and now I'm getting pretty regular kicking. I can almost garauntee that the baby will kick at 9:30 every night.
I felt the first kick against my palm at 19 weeks, it's the greatest feeling.
I felt first movements at 17w2d. They feel like bubbles popping in my tummy and it's continuing to get stronger. I am sure it almost feels like little kicks now. So exciting!
And this is for baby # 1.
I was around 18 weeks, only i never got butterflys or bubbles all i got were quick sharp pains which continue today but now they move around my belly.. :D
With my first pregnancy I felt flutters from 11 weeks, 4 days.
With this pregnancy I first felt flutters at 10.5 weeks and have felt strong kicks since 15.5 weeks.
HELP!!!
I am 20 weeks today with my first bubba, had an ultrasound the other day and the lady said it was moving round the whole time, but I never feel nything.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME???
Don't worry, there's absolutely nothing wrong with you! :) Some women don't feel there bubs move until a bit later than others, especially if the placenta is located at the front - it blocks all those kicks! I'd say that's a very likely reason for you. Did the u/s lady say where the placenta was? I'll bet in a few more weeks you'll be feeling movement!
Take care.
I am now 20 weeks and 3 days, and still nothing...
Just wondering, I am a size 12/14. Does this mean that it will be harder for me to feel the baby moving than if I was skinnier...
Also, what do baby's first movements usually feel like???
Hey Supa Star. When I had my u/s at 18wks I was just amazed at how much the baby moved & I felt nothing. Kinda weird isn't it!
When you first get movements it's kind of like a bubble popping. It really is gentle to start with. Just wait until you're almost due and you can see your whole belly rolling about
I felt 'crawling' from about 17 weeks and about two to three weeks ago it progressed to unmistakeable kicking - little bugger! It was maybe one or two a day and now the little one's always reminding me it's there - very active in the morning when I wake up. Sort of stops when I say 'Oi!', when there is punching into my bladder... then starts up again!
i felt my first bubble at 18wks 3 days but today was my first official kick i think and i am 19 wks 1 day. very exciting. i thought i was late feeling it but apparently not says my midwife. I hope to now feel more movement but it is still rare.
I didn't get anything until around 21-22 weeks, and since then it has been full one. Kicks and movements all day and all night. I can now watch bub kick and move in my belly , it's amazing
I felt the first kicks at 15 weeks 4 days. It was just like a tiny tap. It normally happens when I'm bending and squashing him.
My goodness Nat! you can't possibly be that far along LOL.
I know! Crazy isn't it!
With Kat it was right on about 15wks. I felt a bubble run from one side to another, then didn't feel much else for about 3wks. With Jess I was only about 14wks for the first kick and felt gentle ones constantly from about 16wks on....
I felt ds move at 13-14wks. It was like a goldfish fliting around but only occasionaly and when I was in certain positions. No-one believed me until you could feel him move on the outside at 16-17wks.
I felt the first little pops/quivers at about 15weeks but didn't identify them as 'movements' until this weekend - 16weeks 3days.
16+6 for me. I could feel fluttery things, but that was the first proper kick that I knew couldn't possibly be anything else! Felt like little popping bubbles. Really cute!
HI all I am 14.5 weeks pregnant and i definately felt "fluttering" last night. I was so excited, I woke up my husband and told him, he sleepily replied " Are you sure it wasn't just my leg?" I laughed, as there was no way this feeling could be mistaken for anything else. What a fantastic experience, brings on an instant feeling of LOVE for the baby.
i was 15 weeks when i first felt a kick.... exciting isnt it!
i felt my first flutters at 18.5 weeks, but didn't want to get too excited (in case it was just gas), until it was confirmed when i felt (and thus simultaneously saw) one during my ultrasound!
so exciting... DH wants to be able to feel one too but he has never gotten to my belly in time
i felt him first in the 15th week... but really sure i was in week 18.
