Who counts there pregnancy from their LMP?
As i was until my Gp said NO count from the scan dates but not up til 38 wks but to 40 .... so in other words if i was counting from Jan 1 2010 from my LMP 40 wks is Oct 8 2010 now my edd is moves two weeks to the 26 October so i would be 42 weeks from LMP. Does that make sense. but what really annoys me this is my 3rd child and both were born before the first edd ....
So i am 14 weeks (on frid ) from LMP
But GP says im only 12 weeks from scan so what am i 14 wks pregnant or 12 wks ?
I look 14 lol
Im not worried just annoyed that the Gp wont take what i know what my babies do.
Depends if you know your dates or not. For this pregnancy I didn't know my dates at all as I wasn't paying any attention to when I got AF and bub was not planned, so we had to go by my dating scan. With my previous pregnancies though I didn't get a dating scan so went off my dates.
My Dr and everyone else is going by my last period date. Which makes baby due on the 8th may, however, my last scan said bubs was due the 3rd of may, so I just made it the 4th, because it was a good date, but knowing my bubs, it'll be late anyway....lol

My doctors and midwifes have always gone by my scans. I had a dating scan when i found out i was pregnant, i was 5weeks when i thought i was 7 weeks, then at 12 weeks it was confirmed how far along i was by the babies measurements and we were given an EDD.
I would be going from your scans as they can tell how far along you are by the babies growth and measurements.
Definately go by the scan date... the length of your cycle can vary and ovulation can occur at different times of the month, earlier or later than in the middle. If we went by my LMP my bub would be due next week, but I also tracked ovulation so I know I ovulate late! Good luck
