Exclamation When should we go to the hospital?

Ok so I woke up this morning and felt really sick. So vomited, and had the runs. Had the runs for an extra few hours. I also slept most of the day.

So I had a dry cracker around 2ish, and some water and then a piece of vegemite toast. Then a berocca because I was feeling so lethargic. I had a burning sensation at the top of my belly for most of the day, and now its moved to just random pains all over my belly.

So I had some peanut butter on toast and some water.

Unfortunately, it just all came up. Plus the other end. Even more unfortunately I wasn't actually sitting on the toilet at the time. I also flaked it, I was standing at the kitchen sink doing the bottles, and felt like I was going to vomit, started walking to the bathroom ,and flaked it. I landed on my belly.

Then I get chills on and off all day.

Is this all just gastro or something more serious? DH is sick as well, but he hasn't thrown up yet, just feels yuck in his belly and he is running a temp - I'm not.

    Any advice please!

Go get checked out hun, better to be safe than sorry.

I am sure bubba is snug and protected by given you fainted, I would say get checked. May be because of tummy bug, may be cause low sugar from not eating much, dehydrated, low iron.

    Take care

I would probably call your local hospital and get some advice but isn't there a real risk from dehydration while you are pregnant?

it sounds like gastro, but if you are vomiting more than you are drinking, or you start to get headachey from a lack of fluid, then go to your GP. Gastro will not harm your baby but dehydration could, so better safe than sorry.

In the meantime tuck yourself up in bed and don't try to do to much. Hope you feel better soon

Oh babe.. Didn't realize you were sick! I'd probably go get checked. Do you have any electrolyte icypoles? They're great when u can't handle the big drinks of the stuff.
I really hope you feel better soon.. Let us know how you go xxx

Morning everyone, nah didn't go to the hospital, just went to bed and try to sleep through the discomfort.

Now it looks like DH has it, and DD2.

Hey! Poor DH. But are you feeling any better. I guess you know your body better. I know it's hard when DH is also unwell but still try to rest today.
