It only occurred to me in the last couple of days that I should probably go through my baby clothes and have some stuff washed and ready for DS2 to wear. He is my fourth baby so the whole time I have been thinking that I pretty much have everything I need and don't need to do any shopping for him. It has only just hit me that I should actually get stuff ready and wash it before he comes. It only occurred to me a couple of weeks ago that we have to fit a car seat for him too ... I don't know what I have been thinking.
Anyway, so with the best of intentions to do it ASAP, I pulled all my baby clothes out (they are in plastic tubs sorted according to size and gender) and they are sitting underneath my piaon waiting for me to sort them. I was going to do it yesterday and just haven't got that far. Can anyone say procrastination?
Mildez-i am 29 weeks and did all my washing a week ago and put it in air tight bags and the linen in a basket covered to keep dust off i have done it early because i was told i could end up on bed rest or in hospital at any time from 28 weeks so i wanted to be prepared i will pack it all into the draws either the week they book my c section or if i can have a natrual birth at 37 weeks only because i am a routine clean freak like order in the house type person i have both mine and little misses hospital bags done and ready to go also.
Thanks again for all your replies. Mine is now all still in the indoor bin waiting for a further gestation before I wash it and hide it in the suitcase with a lock (DH doesn't know bubs gender) I've decided I'll wash all the towels and unisexed nappies and have that on the change table about 36weeks. Now I just have to wait until the time comes and in the mean time I've started selling some stuff on ebay for $$ to buy new stuff and to make room for that new stuff. Its all getting very exciting now :-)
Well I've got a few items which have been stored with moth balls, although I'm not sure if it was napthalene or something else. So I have washed them and I am leaving them on a line which gets the sun for a week, and I will probably wash them a number of times and do the same.
