I also have target jeans, which are pretty good, slight flare and a nice colour... the only thing I don't like is that the band at the top is black. I have seen one's now with a skin coloured band, but unfortunately they were like $90! I hate that maternity clothing is soooo expensive..... I also have the black work pants from target and have found them just wonderful. The elastic hasn't given any yet so I hope it doesn't!

I bought an awesome pair off ebay, they are Pumpkin Patch almost new & for half the price. But I got the Med & they were way too big so never got worn. I actually didn't get all that big in my pregnancy so instead of spending all that cash on jeans as they price up all the materninty clothes, I just bought bigger sizes in cheaper low cut jeans & shorts from Target on Sale. Then I just wore a belly band over the top, the day I got out of hosp all the pants were too big,he,he. But they looked great at the time.

ebay is a great place to get cheap maternity clothes from, but like another lady said its just a shame u cant try them on b4 hand.....great for a bargin tho!
    PP is also awesome.
Another idea is to check the net. Just type in maternity jeans or something like that & heaps of stuff should come up....plus it will show what shops u can buy them in if ur not itno buying online. Im not a fan of buying stuff off the net(except ebay.......plus i dont have a credit card, so i cant). I used to just like looking tho. I would type things in like...funky,cool,rock etc...maternity clothes & heaps of sites would come up with some really cool stuff & heaps of jeans!

Anyways good luck with it & congrats on ur pg!

Big W has comfy jeans in at the moment but they may not be to your taste. I'm living in them when I'm out of work.

I noticed your SE Melb suburbs. Two other places you can try. Preggi Central at Cheltenham Rd Dandenong have jeans plus lots of really "nice" maternity clothes. They are not cheap. I haven't bought clothes from there as I can't justify spending that amount for a few months. They have very pretty mat bras. One great thing they have there is a breast feeding bracelet to remind you which side you started on last. I got one of those.

Molly's Maternity in Hallam is cheaper - can't remember the address but it's off Abbot Rd which is off Hallam Rd (try googling it). It's a warehouse kind of place. Most things there are under $40 including jeans.

I live in Hallam and i've heard of Molly's Maternity but can never find it. Will go for a drive and see what i can find.
I typed in the maternity jeans and got some place in the back of babyco. Went in and she says she has a pair on order that are low rise and flare a bit on the bottom so she's gonna call when they come in so i can go try them on. Not\ commitment to buy which is a good thing cause they are almost $100, i'm so gonna make sure i get some good wear outa of em if i do get them, i find it really hard to justify spending so much on jeans, especially when the ones i wear now only cost me $35-$40 and they are soooooooooo comfy. Fit like a glove.

Anyways i'll let you all know how i go. Gonna try and get down the shops soon, not as easy when i've gotta take a 3.5yr old though who gets bored easily :S

Do you have a pumpkin patch clearance store in VIC, maybe at DFO? We have one just around the corner from my house, great prices there!

I really didn't buy many specifically maternity clothes - just one pair of work pants from Target which were never going to win any fashion awards but were darn comfy! And I think a shirt that was longer at the front to accommodate a bump.

Other than that I lived in anything that was cotton jersey/stretchy wool. So lots of sweater/wrap dresses with leggings underneath (cheap leggings I found were better because they were stretchier - my Kmart ones were my fave). And Bonds/Wyse stretchy pants for casual. Oh, and skirts with elasticated waists. I always have a horror time buying jeans at the best of times so didn't bother.

A few people said they liked what I wore when I was pregnant better than when I wasn't!

And although I bought some fairly expensive stuff - like Witchery, Cue etc. I'm going to wear all that stuff this season too even though I've lost all my pregnancy weight and more. So my tip is just buy stretchy stuff. We're lucky that this season's (and last season's) fashions means there's heaps out there so you don't need to waste money on stuff you'll only wear when pregnant.

Possibly because they were closing down. They contacted me to buy stock off them for my maternity store but i never got to see them.
