White coating on my tongue

Hi,

i am 18 weeks and i have white marks on my tongue like i have just drank milk - i noticed it yesterday but to be honest i dont look at my tongue so i dont know how long it has been there. :eek:

My throat is not sore or anything and everything down there is fine... not sure what it is

I thought it may be thrush but ive never had it before so i dont kno.

is this a common thing

I am off to the doc at 3pm but would appreciate some comments etc.

Actually - i went sick on the sugary stuff for a few days so maybe you are right - maybe it was that.

def sounds like oral thrush, i used to develop it after taking steriod meds for my asthma and recently developed it again (now about 13.5 weeks prego).
daktarin oral gel is ok to use during pregnancy my dr recommended it and i checked at the chemist it is a class A drug.
it would be best for you to be checked out though before starting treatment just in case.

Sounds like thrush to me. Try eating lots of natural yoghurt

I went to the doctor and he didnt give me anything because i dont have any symptoms other than the whitish toungue - no sore throat no burning or anything no difficulty breathing, i got some pro-biotic tablets and am taking them he said (after charging me $51) come back if you get any of the other symptoms. ....

Its disgusting i was in there for like 3 minutes, got no real help and i had to pay for it HA.....
