I am worried about my sleeping position i find myself sleeping on my tummy does anyone know if this will harm Bronson in anyway?
i go to sleep in the recovery position but find myself fuly on my tummy when i waking during night. I have a pillow under my leg to stop me from doing it but it not working grr i push it out of the way and rool over.
I asked my friend who is a midwife about this and she said not to worry your instinct when your asleep will make you move if the position is not good for baby
yep!! sure does.. if i lay on my back now i end up in soooo much pain..cramps and stuff galor! if u are propped up on pillows behind ur back and head then ur not laying flat on ur back so it wont be a problem. its usually only if u are flat on ur back that it can reduce the blood flow to bub because of the weight bub puts on a arterie i think (someone correct me if im wrong)...
thats what ive been doing lately and the thing is i never liked sleeping on my front at all, but now whenever i wake up thats how i am and it seems thats how im most comfortable. I was worried i was squashing my bean, but its more my boobs that are getting crushed haha
I was told by my OB to sleep on my side from 20 weeks onwards. Can't remember why he said not to sleep on tummy but back was the biggest no no as it can restrict a main artery and (very rarely) restrict the blood flow to bubs. It can also make you dizzy when you try to get up out of bed.
