personally if it is just a cold i wouldn't go to either, you would be much better staying at home, taking some panadol, keeping up your fluid intake and resting than waiting in a dr's surgery (definitely wouldn't go to hospital, a cold would be WAY down the list of people they have to see, you would be there for ages)

if its just a cold there is nothing they can do anyway, hope you feel better soon

No, neither is nessecary..same as if you were'nt pregnant...If you get a fever or develop severe symptoms then straight to the doc otherwise rest drink lots of water and take some panadol.
    Hope you feel better soon.

I wouldn't go either. There's not much you can do for a cold or the flu while pg.

Not if it's just the flu. I had the flu pretty bad between 38-40 weeks with DD2. Even when I was in labour with her I had it. If it was swine flu, then it could have an impact on bub, but if it's just the flu then no.

I went to the Dr when I had a bad head cold and my temp was rising.

She was great and told me I'd done the right thing, especially with all the flus and bugs that have been going about and she gave me a thorough check over.

She recommended Vitamin C and lots of fluids and told me to go back if the fluid in my ears and sinuses became painful.

I'm glad that I went for reassurance.

i Ended up calling and speaking with a midwife at the hospital who took a list of everything i have had and said i should go see a GP tomorrow as it could be a chest infection she was happy that my temp was normal but obviously if that goes up to go to emergency
