I thought you were supposed to stay away from mussels and oysters because they can have a build up of nasty chemicals and stuff? For some reason I though they were similiar to swordfish and flake? I could be wrong
That being said I have eaten mussels, it was at a friend's in a paella and I didn't think. They were cooked though. I wouldn't do it regularly but I guess if you have a huge craving for them it is your decision.
