    Congratulations!

You've got a great 26wks left ahead of you! (that seems like forever when it took forever to get to 14, but when the due date is not too far away, you wonder where it all went!)

CONGRATULATIONS on hitting the 2nd trimester!!

I remember how excited I was!! To me it felt like I was finally getting somewhere in my pregnancy IYKWIM.

All the best for the rest of your pregnancy... it does go quick! Well for me it has.. seems to have slowed down a bit now though

I feel the same way yet I have had 2 scans. I opted not to go back for my 12 weeks scan cus the 10 week one showed all was ok but now I wish I had.. I went to the Dr last week as I had some spotting and she said she wouldn't even try listening for a HB before 16 weeks.. I am sure I have heard the HB earlier with my other pregnancies..

I go back again in 2 weeks so hopefully she finds it then.. otherwise I will ask for a reassurance scan.. btw I am a huge worrier

just thoguht i would let you know my Dr found the heartbeat for me at 13 wks and 3 days because i asked him too. i just wanted to be reassured. I too am a worrier so i have ordered a doppler off of ebay so i can hear they heart beat when i like. It cost 79.95 + postage but am yet to recieve it so cant comment on how well they work. i have a close friend who's edd is very close to mine so we will be going halves. congrats on the pg.

I heard the heartbeat early, like about 8 weeks when I went for a dating scan (that was with ultrasound though not doppler). I would think by now they could hear it with a doppler - maybe just ask them at the next one to try for you just for your peace of mind... sometimes i think care providers forget how each of these little milestones means so much to us so they dismiss things as unnecessary that would make us feel a lot better or that we would find special - so it pays to ask!

My doctor did it on my first visit.. i didn't have to ask him.. maybe just tell them you want some reasurrance and they should do it for you..

I don't think it was until my 16 or 20 week appointment that they got the doppler out. It is frustrating though when you can't yey feel the baby kick because you want to know everything is ok in there! I hated not knowing if my baby was 'ok'. It's so reassuring to hear that heartbeat or feel a kick! I am sure everything is fine though !!

Hi, I was 14 weeks yesterday and I can't tell you how relieved I have been to have made it this far. You are right it has dragged a little bit. I have had 2 miscarriages before and have never made it this far so it is really rather wonderful. I heard the hb at 8 wks and then again at 12 wks when I had the tn test. It really is great to hear it and I wish that I could hear it everyday. My next opportunity will be the 23rd July which is at 19 wks- so all I can say "is bring it on"!! hey this is my first time on this site as well.
