    32weeks, dizzyness - urgent

    Hi Girls.

I'm hoping for a little advice!

    I'm 32 weeks and 1 day.
I woke up this morning feeling tired and sore as usual - no different.
Then about 2 hours later, about 1/2 an hour after breakfast, I started feeling really dizzy.
I went to the toilet and nearly fell sideways off it so I went to lay down. It persisted whilst laying down. I have gotten up to have lunch and still feel the same.

I lost some of my plug about 2 weeks ago but haven't had any loss or seepage.
My braxton hicks have been really really strong and I have some backpain and period like pain.

    Should I ring the hospital?
Are they likely to make me come in?

    TYIA!

Definitely call the hospital. I could be something like your BP playing up or it could be something else, it's best to get things like that checked out.

I'm sure the hospital would want you to call them if you are experiencing dizziness, so don't be afraid to contact them.

I hope all is OK .

Totally agree, definately call them. Might be nothing, might be something, worth getting checked out. Hope all is ok.

Do you feel nauseous as well also? I had a virus during pg which caused fluid on my ears and I had the worst dizziness and nausea from it - I even vomitted if I turned my head while lying down. I needed a shot of maxalon to get over it.

So it could be that or bp. Either way, I'd get it checked it out to be safe.

Thanks girls. I rang the hospital and they said to lie down and drink heaps of fluids and if I don't feel any better in a few hours to go get my blood pressure checked.
So I have stayed in bed all afternoon and feel a little better but now I have the runs - oh the joys! So I'd say I probably have a virus...
    Thanks again!

Bec, I have the same problem on the odd occasion.

There's no warning and nothing after. You just have a massive dizzy spell and the world seriously turns.

I had the same thing with Daniel - but in the first trimester. This time it's in the third only, so dunno.

I was just sitting watching tele the other day and the room started spinning. I thought, "Thank God I wasn't standing!" I would have gone down.

I've had the same problem from about 31 weeks...

I recommend going to hosp for a checkup just to put your mind at ease, but in my case they could find no reason for it besides the fact that maybe I had been overdoing it a bit. I have slowed down a bit & the dizziness has improved, although when I get stressed, without fail I feel dizzy...so there might be something in that! (I kinda thought it might be something they said cause they didn't know, kwim?)

Could be low blood pressure, low iron or a virus...none of those applied in my case.

    Hope you feel better soon

I had a similiar thing last friday arvo, my husband took me straight to hospital and it turned out I had a virus, they also said I was badly dehydrated.

Drink plenty of water and if you don't feel any better, I would suggest go to hospital.
