33 weeks and over it.....support/advice wanted please

Ive had issues with this pg, ms wasnt one and i thought wow this is going to be easy lol alas i was wrong, since then ive suffered bad back pain, pure torturous ligament pain (can dislocate my hips or end in a walking frame if not take it easy), to bad BH's, nausea and then to being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes (didnt have it with the other 2)......

Ive had the runs the last week and a half, tonight ive been getting BH's (not bad ones, but still annoying ones), feeling nauseated, light headed, extreamly tired (came on so quick), bubs now hurts everytime she moves, and the constantly feeling of feeling "off" also ive got lower back ache.......grrrr
Ive been nesting like crazy last couple of weeks and my kids seem to drive me crazy more and more (i know they are just being kids, but cant seem to get that around my emotions atm

I want this pg over with sooner rather then later........can anyone help with suggestions on how to cope the next 7 weeks, i honestly feel i cant do it.......i feel im really struggling and tonight is the worse ive felt emotionally this pg....

    TIA

Huge hugs Naomi. I don't really have advice but just want you to know that you're not alone. I've had a seriously unpleasant pregnancy this time around too, with various things happening along the way to make it very stressful. I spent last Tuesday night in hospital and had contractions for 6.5 hours that went nowhere and I was feeling so completely deflated and upset over it that I was very, very close to asking my OB for an induction the next day to be done with it.

I'm not sure that I've really done anything to cope - more like just trying to survive it - so can't offer any suggestions other than to just take it as easy as you can. I've also done something I've resisted until now, and am taking panadol each night before I go to bed. My little girl is a serious wriggler and I feel black and blue, as well as having BH on and off. I think the panadol is the only thing helping me to sleep.

Take care. We just need to tell ourselves that it can't last forever, and soon we'll both have beautiful babies in our arms that will make all of this seem a distant memory.

Hugs to you too....I couldnt imagine being in "labour" for 6.5hrs to have it die off.....

i might start the panadol thing, if it helps it cant be bad can it? i just dont want to rely on it, iykwim....
im about to go to bed soon, so might go take a couple now and see if that helps??

Im looking forward to this being a distant memory LOL
    thankyou - look forward to your BA!! im positive it wont be that far away {{hugs}}

I know how you feel Naomi, I've had issues with this pregnancy since 5 weeks. Hang in there
I had to have a warm bath tonight because the BH were not nice....& I'm only 23 weeks!

Maybe have a bath (soothes muscles & ligaments) take some panadol or even Panadene Forte (its safe, I've had several Drs prescribe it during my pregnancies)

Then tomorrow doing something nice for yourself. favorite food,( if you're allowed.) Shopping therapy. Best friend over for a cuppa. Hire a movie. On the really bad days maybe ring a midwife & see of they have any suggestions for relief. Are you seeing a physio for the ligament issues?

    All the best. :hugs:

It is really hard when you get to those last stages. I felt the same from 35 weeks and it was awful. I had to have a stronger pain relief (on the level of morphine) to get me through the last few weeks as my uterus became irritable and I'd randomly go into labor for it to just die off again. I also used a labor tens machine to help during the times my contractions were close together.

I learnt to have warm showers, rest on my left side lying down, and accept all support from everyone. I just focused on getting to 37 weeks - technically term - and the each day after that. I got to 38+2 when I had a c-section as I was no longer able to sleep or eat comfortably.

I hope it gets a bit easier for you, but hang in there, bubs will be here before you know it.

I hear you!! It's 3am and I'm awake. Baby is kicking, I have sore hips and back and have also woken with a sore throat. I'm 38 weeks this week and still working until right before I'm due. I love being pregnant and I know how blessed I am to have this baby growing in my belly but my body is tired and emotionally and mentally I'm really starting to struggle. I'm not a good mum to my DS at the moment either which is Breaking my heart

All I can think of is, eyes on the prize, this can't and won't last forever!!!

Hang in there babes, it's all worth it!!

Thankyou everyone - im glad to hear (as bad as it may be/sound) that im not the only one.....

I am doing a hyrdo class every week to help with the ligament pain/back pain etc......by the time monday arvo comes (the day i have it) im really needing it, sometimes im fine for a few days after other days im back in pain by the following arvo

My favourite food is on hold until after bubs

For some reason i really dont like having baths and we only have x amount of hot water, so i try not to shower more then once a day unless i really need it....then poor hubby has to miss out on a shower if i have 2 (enough hot water for 3 showers, 1 for me, 1 for hubby and 1 for the boys)

Yeah my midwife suggested panadene forte aswell.....i just dont like taking them or relying on pain killers, iykwim....
although i took some panadol last night and was able to get to sleep, mr 5 was already in my bed and then at 4 am mr 3 decided he was in our bed or look out, by this stage i was wide awake cos bubba decided that it must mean its wake up time, finally got back into bed (and find room lol) to only have hubbys alarm going off lucky kids stayed asleep and when hubby left i was able to doze back off and get an hour or so more sleep.....

BRose - i too woke last week the same way, still havnt been able to shake the sore throat either hugs, its hard when we have other little people to look after......but i know they are strong kids and will be ok.....
prehaps you need to atleast drop some hours so you can start to rest BEFORE bubs comes and spend some more time with DS??? I know when ive been a bad mum, i try and make up for it when i can......even if its small things throughout the day, or something the next day....
sometimes im a bad mum for a few days before i realise its me and not them (iykwim) and then i have a really downer day, kinda like a min break down, then the next day i try and make it up to everyone.....

i know 7 weeks isnt long and that i wont be pg forever, this pg has gone fast right up til i hit the 30wk mark, but thats also when things slowed down around here, so im thinking if i try and keep myself busy again then the next few weeks wont be such a hurdle......

I'm with you too, can't offer any advice but only big

I'm only a few days behind you and I think I've been over this from the start! Hasn't been smooth sailing here either, but now I'm just trying to keep as busy as I can to distract myself from the horrible way that I'm feeling.

I feel "not me" today - i had a busy day yesterday and over did it (rearranged part of the house and did a food shop, where the check out dude decided i needed to have all the heavy stuff in one bag, as well as have 2 boys who thought they would try my patience all day lol)
So im hoping its just my body recovering....Im feeling nauseated and just "off"........ive (sorry tmi) cleaned out my bowels already this morning and little miss is being pretty quiet, ive got a couple of BH's but cant shake this off feeling i have, its like im in a imposters body.....(if that makes sense).......see what the rest of the day holds.......

PacRak - it is hard and i am trying to keep busy, but i always seem to over do it when i keep busy and pay for it that night or following day lol - hugs and thankyou xo

I feel the way you just described after I've overdone it too. And overdoing it could be as simple as vacuuming the floor. Can you rest up today?
