38 weeks and no noticable BH, no pains nothing

    Hi Girls,
I am 38 weeks today and very impatient to meet our little one, also annoyed because two of my friends have already had their babies on the weekend and one was due this friday and the other one was due the same time as me.
I havent had any noticable Braxton Hicks or pains or anything. There just seems to be no signs at all. I know technically I still have a couple of weeks up my sleeve but has or is anyone else experiencing this.
Did any of you have no signs then it just happened all of a sudden.
I cant even tell if I have dropped or anything because I have always carried low, I am not tired or uncomfortable and no swelling or fluid, I have been very lucky. Love to hear your experiences.

very rarely do people feel them with their 1st, simply as you dont know what your feeling...
your only just at the begining of "term" so you still may have another 4 weeks to go.. try not to get to caught up with where you are but enjoy the ride(remember your alot closer to meeting bubs then when you found out...)

i had no signs at all then i was induced 13 days over then next one i had a false start on my due date then went in to labour 9 days later.

My first pregnancy sounds like yours. I had no BH whole pregnancy, I was fit and mobile, with good energy all the way thru.
This time round is a very different story
Enjoy your ease while you have it

I had absolutely no pre-labour at all with DS1. The first I knew of anything happening were full on contractions 8 minutes apart, one day after his due date. He was born 8 hours later. So don't worry, no signs don't mean anything. It will happen soon for you hun. Best of luck.

I had no BH's or any type of signs with DS1 either. Must be a first baby thing! I just woke up at 4am one morning with contractions

Same here, no BH and Natty didn't 'engage' until about 2 days before she was born. (And I only know that because the middies told me - I didn't feel her 'drop' and didn't feel like I had a melon between my legs etc etc.)
Hang in there. IKHYF about everyone popping before you - it seemed that way for me as well. It was as though everyone in my antenatal classes had had their babies by the time Natty's EDD rocked around.
Try to keep busy and that should help to keep your mind off it.

I didn't feel any BH. At around the same point you are at I started to get worried I'd go "over". I gave birth at 38/4. I woke up one morning feeling AF type pain & then noticed the show had started. I had pre labour for that day & went into labour fully that night & gave birth the following day.

I had my OB appointment on the Friday and I was not fully engaged at that time. The birth was on the Monday. My bub dropped quite a bit on the Sunday morning (during pre labour) but by a couple of hours later had dropped even further (so much so my neighbour commented on it & said that she reckoned I'd go fully into labour that day and I did).

So yes, you can basically feel nothing & everything appear to be going nowhere & then suddenly it all starts to happen.

I know when i got my haircut the other day I was reading one of those stupid magazines and they had this article about her and apparently her friends were saying she is upset because lleyton is gone for several hours of the day and will be when the baby is born too and she wasnt coping too well, ummm hello my husband is gone several hours of the day too and i am pretty sure there are many more women out there in the same situation.

Hmmm. Boohoo - how about Bec has a chat with some of the ladies around here who's DH's / DP's are not home several full days of the week!
Ah, matey. There's some time to be wasted on here! And getting ready for Christmas too. This was the time I was waiting around for Natty's arrival. She was due on the 20th and that date came and went, so I baked. And baked, and baked, LOL! Do you have anyone who will take you out for a frappe?
You are right, you are so close now. Just keep hangin in there, 'kay?
