I walk to the end of the block and back each day (My feet, ankles, legs, knees are ALL IN ONE....) The amount of swelling makes it almost impossible to walk any further... and feels like needles stabbing into them as i do it.
Warm baths... once sometimes twice a day
Nipple stimulation.. up to 5 times a day for 10 minutes at a time
DTD... haha - I WISH!.. DP wont do it for some reason...
Foot Massage - DP massages them before bed every night as the swelling makes it unbearable to have doona laying on top of me as it presses into my feet/legs (yes a doona.. light and airy hurts my legs and feet..)
Orgasm - Once a day... for the last 2 weeks...
Hot Chilli Food... tried this once.. all it did was gave me massive reflux and diarrhea...
Actually DTD might help.
His stuff has special 'stuff' in it to help ripen your cervix.
Tell him not to worry about bubs. He won't know what's going on!
He just says it doesn't "seem right" and that he just "doesn't want to do it" ...
But he cant explain to me WHY he doesn't want to..
He says he knows it wont hurt bub... but still wont.. I just wish he would have a look and see how much i'm struggling right now and that I will try ALMOST ANYTHING to meet our son
Obviously within reason.. i don't want to hurt him or myself
Yeah. I just kinda stopped asking/ talking about it because I knew it made him feel uncomfortable.
We are kinda disagreeing at the moment... he has the Lazy/ Laid back approach to having the room clean (live with my parents at the moment)
Where as I'm doing the whole "nesting" thing and wanting everything PERFECT for when bub finally arrives..
So we just had a "disagreement" ... fun stuff at the end of pregnancy ay
Wish it was like the TV shows/ Movies... All perfect and Lovey dovey!
Trust me, from someone who's had a csection its not something you *want* unless it's absolutely necessary I'd give anything to be able to have given birth naturally
My first baby was born at 42 weeks
second was born 36 weeks
third was born at 41 weeks
The doctors were never concerned, I was very uncomfortable so I understand on how you feel for you.
4 and 5 baby they will only let me go to 38 weeks.
I can't help you with any remedies as I tried everythink with my first I just had to wait and go naturally.
I hope your little man comes soon
Cathie
A c/s might feel like having your appendix out, but it's risky. & you risk your baby & future birth/babies.
Obviously if its for the best, then its for the best.
Maybe your experiencing the calm before the storm??
I reckon have a strong cup of RLT, go for a long walk, go home & put your feet in a bucket of coolish/warm water for the swelling, then prop some pillows under your feet & doze off.
Try to DTD first, but either way.
All 3 of my labours started while I was asleep after a fair bit of walking.
I've never known anyone to say they're the same thing. Not to mention, as bjrose has said the risks involved. It was honestly the most traumtatic thing i have ever been through in my life. And it's been almost 5 months and i'm still recovering. Not to mention the fact as bj has also said the risk for future babies.
Just thought. I did that the day before I had DS.
Went to town with MIL all day, swept, vacced & mopped ALL her floors, then did the long walk.
It worked.
Let us know!
I say DTD it worked for me and I know alot of poeple it worked for aswell. Tell your DP to take one for the team lol. I hope it all goes well whatever you decide
Went to GP... Blood Pressure 160/90
He wrote a letter to the hospital and sent me over there (Just around the corner)
He explained to me that a natural vaginal delivery is better for both me and bubs providing that my blood pressure doesn't rise too high and bubs doesn't stress.
Doc wrote this in the letter as one of the things i was concerned about so I'm looking forward to discussing it with the doctors at the hospital when we get the test results.
Baby is nice and happy on the CTG.. he had a big active stage and then a long sleepy!!
My BP went down to 138/87 when I was at the hospital.. bottom number is still too high.. Looking forward to knowing what it is when i go back.
Doctors are going to discuss whether a trial of vaginal delivery is safe for bub and myself.. and obviously depends on how my test results come back as to whether they induce/wait longer/ c-section...
Will either be back tonight or will get Joel to post whats happening.. xox
GL!!! My BP before DS was induced was 160/115 so they were keen to induce (as was I I must say, I had a broken foot and had been on crutches since 28 weeks!)
