    Abnormal Fetal Movement?

Over the last couple of weeks I've noticed, and been woken up in the night by, weird baby movements that i really don't remember having with Evie.
I know it sounds really terrible but it feels like the baby is "convulsing", it probably lasts for around 5-10 seconds and it just feels so violent. The movements are so all over the place - which makes me think it's a whole body thing not just kicking legs/arms.
Any ideas? Anyone else had anything like this?

yeah I have that. Sorta feels like they are having a fit or something - and mine goes on one side and then the other.

I'm not too worried about it, sorta put it down to bubs trying to get into a better position and whacking some liquid away or something.. lol

Just letting you know you aren't the only one.

I've been getting the exact same thing and was wondering what it was too. Glad to hear its normal and others are experiencing the same.

    Hoping everyone is well.

I didn't have this till my #3 pg. Thought the baby was having fits. My now 2 year old dd is very healthy, smart and no signs of fits. Have not noticed it as yet with this pg but there is still time.
    All pg are different.

I do know that when bubs is born, they don't have much control over their arms and legs and their erratic movements can kind of freak them out- which is one reason they like swaddling. So I would guess its the same in the womb, their limbs kind of "flail" sometimes. Like others said, I guess its just all about their under-developed nervous system.

But it does feel VERY wierd!!
