Did anyone have a labour that started REALLY spontaneously? Like i mean with no prelabour signs beforehand? No BH's, no show, no dilation, no cramps or period pain, and then Boom!. I'm just curious because i have had absolutely NO prelabour signs for a week now and am really disheartened that NOTHING is happening. Wondering (and hoping) that labour can start suddenly, from go to whoa without all the prelabour rigamarole. Does it ever happen? Or am i just grasping at straws?
My seconfd labour started like this..just a niggle which i though was wind then bam a few hours later i was in full labour for 2 hours and he was born...so yup it can just happen!
Yep, no warning at all Not a niggle, twinge or anything that was indicating that labour was impending.
Was driving home from yoga, all normal, not a niggle anything, water broke got home, ctx started about 45 min after waters broke, got to hospital about another 45 min after that and DD was born less than 1 hour later and I was 7-8cm when I got to hospital
I didnt' have any niggles with my first Jaidan, just my waters breaking (then I was induced as nothing happened). Chase again, nothing just back pain (he was posterior)
With my DD there was no sign she was coming - we were at a friends for tea and I said she wouldn't be coming any time soon because there was nothing happening. Got home, sat down and contractions started. She was born 9 hours later.
Yep, with my second. it was my due date and we decided to DTD to try and get things moving and not 5 minutes later the contractions started and she was born 8 hours later.
I got no pre-labour either. No braxton hicks, no loosing the plug etc. I woke up one morning with some mild cramps. Within an hour I had a bloody show and got to hospital 2 hours later almost fully dilated. I thought they we're going to send me home.
yep. woke up at 7:30am with a contraction - they kept up at 5mins apart for at least the next 24hrs i didnt have any other sign - i didnt have any BH or anything.
just relax though - i feel thats what kicked my labour off. if you drink tea get some raspberry leaf tea that'll help the labour along - plus it'll help you relax
Im not too desperate right now, but not having any prelabour stuff was getting me down. Its good to know it still might happen at any time though. Fingers Crossed!
My first was like that. I remember sitting with my birth support partner at an appt, and saying that I really didn't feel any niggles or anything and that I thought I'd go days over. I went into labour at 2:30 the next morning, contractions started at a regular 8 mins apart, we left for the hospital around 10am, and bub was born 1:30pm.
The only outward sign was that we'd been at mum and dad's for dinner and apparently I was in a FERAL mood, making snide comments about everyone, especially DH and being really difficult, to the point that they sort of breathed out a sigh of relief when we left.
Mine was sort of like that. I was feeling down being over a week overdue with no sign of anything, then one morning I started to have a show and went into labour that day. So it doesn't have to be building up for weeks.
