    alot of amniotic fluid

    hi
im 36 weeks and just saw my doc today. she said i had alot of fluid around the baby but that just meant the bub was producing alot of urine and the kidneys were working well. my legs have also been really achy and i thought this might be related but she said no and told me the best thing to do was get a massage to relax the muscles.
so i know that if something was wrong with having too much fluid she would have said so coz she did do a scan and i asked about 100 times if it was normal to have that much fluid and she said it was and that when my waters did break it would be a huge relief for me but im still a bit anxious.
    has anyone else experienced this?

Having too much fluid can be indicative of certain problems usually with the baby. But if you had too much fluid she would have gone through these with you. You must just have a lot (but within normal limits) which just means bub has a lot of cushioning. This happened to me. I was at the upper limit of normal and although I spent some time worrying about it, it was actually normal and everything was fine.

    Hi Sarak
I agree with Krysalyss. You can have a lot of fluid or you can have too much fluid. Having a lot of fluid is not a problem. It just means there is more cleaning up to do afterwards.

I was told I had above average fluid levels yesterday after having average all throughout so far... I thinkit measured 18.1.
Dont ask me what that means... hehe I have no idea. I just figure that I can squirt the middies in the face just that little bit longer if my waters break during labour!!!

    hehe
