I think everyone's different. What does your doctor think? Some people's bumps are 'all baby' while other people retain a lot of fluid, and other people get really really hungry. We're all different.
If you're concerned, perhaps keep up some light exercise, go for a walk (I shopped for 'exercise' ) - so you stay fit for the birth now, and also stay fit so it's not too hard to go for walks once the baby is born (walks are great for sanity).
Also, when you're hungry, just keep an eye on what you're eating. You can satisfy your hunger with good nutritious food, or you can satisfy it with junk, which won't do your health any good. I'm not saying to avoid junk completely, but everything in moderation. If you're hungry, grab a glass of water, then some healthy food, and then maybe go for something baaaaad. If you're not starving by the time you get to any junk food, then you might not eat as much.
That's all I can think of for now, but double check with what your doc or midwife thinks, and don't let other people's comments bother you because everyone's different!
