Don't worry too much about it. Everyone is different.
Long as everythin else is good you'll be fine.

Hi and welcome... come join us in belly buddies and we can put on weight together!! I'm 28 wks 3 days today and feeling down about my weight too I just looked up what I was at the END of my last pregnancy and I'm about 5 kg HEAVIER now than then!! No wonder the pants I wore right to the end last time don't fit properly I think I will need a serious fitness regime when this bub is born!

nope you've probably put on the right amount for you.
weight gain in pg is often irrelevant which is why most OBs dont bother weighing.
If you feel up to gentle exercise, like someone else has said that may be of help.

I put on 35kg with my first bub. Im 25 weks now and dont htink I am going to put on anywhere close to that much this time its just been an entirely different pg.

OMG i didn't even need to READ your weight to tell you NO, you're just FINE!

I was one of those who only put on 6kg the whole pregnancy and guess what, i was already 18kg overweight BEFORE i fell pregnant!

Weight and pregnancy is irrelevant. So long as you're eating well and the baby is happy and growing it makes no difference if you gain 20kg or 2kg. Your HEALTH is the most important thing.

Forget about your weight during pg. Just enjoy the ride. You'll get to the end and want to be pg again - so lap it up. Being pg is just the best, so don't worry about the weight issue.

I knew a girl who would have weighed 40 kilos before being pg. Then I saw her when she was about 7 months pg and I didn't recognise her. She said that she didn't care about her weight. She just loved being pg and would think about losing the weight later. She looked soooo healthy and positively happy. She is back to what she was, but she just wasn't concerned.

AFM - I'm a bit of a fatty anyway, so it gives me more scope for behaviour!!! I didn't worry about my weight at all when pg with DS, but then one of my friends came around and asked how much weight I had put on. I went and weighed myself and told her a total of 15 kilos. She berrated me. Needless to say, I have nothing to do with her anymore. I'm pg - lay off!!!

I have done both extremes. 1st pg I only put on 5kg, but I started at 30kg overweight. for the second I put on 19kg, I started from within my healthy BMI. the second pregnancy I was monitoring my food intake and sticking (mostly ) to healthy foods, my midwives were also monitoring my weight - at my request, because I didn't want to gain too much. 19kg seems to have been what I needed to gain for a health pregnancy.

This time I am aiming to gain less, but I am once again starting overweight - and if I do gain as much as last time, I'll deal with it after.

I had put on the same amount, maybe more at 28 weeks. Also started thin, and also have eaten HUGE amounts. It's fine, I've done it with all three! My friend who is not only light, but short, put on 30kilos with all three of hers and she is a tiny thing now. Just enjoy! xo
