    All great news Ella!

Oh I'm soo watching this thread...can't wait to see your BA

ETA - Dd had the peeling skin etc & was born 2 days after her EDD. She was obviously very very late... my point being that they get it wrong, sometimes and that works both ways. Hosp would have let me go another week before even considering inducing...luckily she came when she did. She was fine

    hi ladies!

thanks to you all for your support and advice over the last few days, and thanks Preagainpan for the very kind offer, but it appears that i have FINALLY gone into labour spontaneously...

have been having pretty intense contractions since about 4pm and are getting really quite painful now (although not regular - gggrrr!!!), so fingers crossed i'll be holding my little son by tomorrow (am hopefully!)... brought our daughter over to the serviced apartment that my PIL are renting and dumped her there for a sleepover this evening, so now that i've got their hopes up and they've changed their flights (for a second time!) i'll hopefully be able to produce a grandson for their inspection before they fly home!!

god i hope this is not another false alarm!!!

well, it was a FALSE ALARM!! i can't believe it!! i even got to the stage of calling the hospital and telling them that i'd be there in a few hours... the contractions were excruciating, but they got less and less regular, and are now only coming about every half hour!!
my DH has stayed home from work anyway in the hope that things might start up again... i've sent him off to blockbuster now so hopefully it will be either a) a nice relaxing day, or b) a baby birthing day...
    will keep you all posted!

Hey. doesn't matter Ella it'll happen soon I agree with FC... try to stay upright... and from personal experience avoid relalxing soaks in warm baths until things are well and truly underway... I think I "stalled" a labour too by hopping in a bath too early.

Sounds as if you need the PIL to go home for things to start - are you brave enough to tell them to scoot?
