hi there
this happened with my DD.
i never had a fundus over 33 weeks when measured (not that is is acurate at late stages as baby is big and can be laying in lots of positions which alters the fundal height).
Anyhow i had the same scans for fluid etc. And it turned out that bub was just little.
SHe was born 39weeks 2 days (i was still measuring 33) and she was 5lb 13oz. (2.6kg).
Completely healthy. She was just little and still is
Try not to worry. Some babies are jsut good at fitting into tight spaces!
Welcome to the world of living by the charts It never stops, you know.
In all seriousness, though, I do hope that things are okay. I've never had a small for dates baby but like the pp said, babies come in different shapes and sizes, just like we all do. Is the baby doing well otherwise, with movement, heartbeat, etc? I'm assuming they've had a good look at the blood flow around the placenta? If all those things are normal, I'd be reassured by that.
Thanks for the replies, everything going by the scan and stress test was good,i guess thats why its a bit strange, the man who did my scan even said not everyone has big babies but you cant help worrying,so its nice to hear from others.I think Pink Palace, mine will be just smaller like yours, they estimated last week she was about 4 pound so by the time born 6,i thought whats the big worry then?Ohwell, guess i'll find out more next week!
All of mine were way under their fundal heights, and all 3 are happy healthy children. Ashton was my smallest born at 5lb 13oz, but he was also 4 weeks early. Dont go too much by the estimated weight with scans. Ashton was measuring at 4lb something at my last scan I had and I went into labour that same afternoon. He was born 40hrs later weighing a good pound and a half heavier.
