Anyone know what this pain / pressure is?

I am almost 38 weeks pregnant and 3/5 engaged. I am experiencing strong downwards pressure below my bump... and also a period type pain - could this be BH? This pressure & pain comes and goes throughout the day & strongest at night. I am also getting alot of headaches & finding it very hard to sleep. I did not get these symptoms with DD as I was induced at around this time in the pregnancy.

Has anyone got any advice or experiencing something similar?

Hi Sarah! What you've explained may be BH but i'd guess that your probably pretty close to pre-labour.

That thought had crossed my mind... it is even more exciting this time around because I dont know what to expect when it comes to pre-labour. My last labour was so planned!

Just wanted to wish you all the best with your birth & bub too... your due just 10 days after me!

Yep, getting similar feelings, particularly if I try to do too much (even 30 mins standing ironing is too much).

I'm getting period type pains underneath my bump most nights aswell but no BH. I thought maybe it was the RLT tablets causing them. Also the other night I had a sharp pain in my cervix like a knife stabbing pain when I tried to get out of bed. My DH had to pull me out because I couldn't striaghten my legs! I'm 36 weeks and bub was 2/5 engaged last appointment.
