    Question Changing movements

I'm almost 34 weeks, and I've been noticing the movements I'm feeling changing. There's less kick-type movements, which I know is normal as bub grows bigger, but I'm also noticing that a lot of the movements I can barely feel from the inside, but will be able to feel if I place my hand on my belly. When DH has his hand on my belly trying to feel movements, sometimes he'll feel movements that I either couldn't feel at all, or would have thought were too subtle for him to feel. Has anyone else found this?

Also, is it normal for bub to be a bit less active in general? I still feel enough movements not to worry (on most days anyway), but bub definitely moves less than earlier on.

Its happened a couple of times where DH has felt bub and not me. I'm also not feeling kicks and only pushes and rolls. He is also less active too. I think maybe their sleep patterns change a bit so they sleep more i guess. Plus they sleep more if you are more active and i guess because theres not much room left they feel all snug and dont feel the need to move as much(kinda like being wrapped when born).

When Im sitting upright, all the baby movements I feel are only ever on the top right hand side of my belly! I had a check up on Fri and on that day my baby's head was up the top of my uterus, so still plenty of room to move inside I guess. I'd suggest its quite normal to feel less dramatic movements as baby grows and grows.
When I was pg with Cierra she had her foot lodged under my rib cage for the last 2 weeks which was pretty uncomfy for me. When she was born , you could see what affect that had on her ankle!

I've definitely noticed a change... a few weeks ago bubs developed this "scurrying" sort of move where it felt like she was trying to burrow her way out or something, or running on the spot!

Now, I'm feeling much bigger movements - a whole body roll or a foot being pushed out against the belly. I think they just get bigger and it feels a bit different is all!

I think my girl is trying to find the most comfy position while there's still room to move as she's certainly not staying in one spot!

Yeah, its changed for me too. Not so much kicks but more like bubs trying to push it's way out. And it's actually hurting now!! i feel like I'm bruised after some serious movements last night, ouch.

SJ - That's what my movements feel like - lots of big pushes. I get them all over the place: near/on my hips, and up higher near my ribs. The movements are definitely changing, but I guess this is a good sign, as it means bubs is getting bigger. The movements aren't really that strong, like you said SJ. Every now and then I'll get a big one, but it's more of a gentle pushing sensation.

Also, when I feel bubs with hiccups, it's always lower down - so would this mean that bubs is head down?

    sterla,
I've found the same thing and i've just turned 34 weeks. DH will be able to tell movements but I won't have felt anything! He thinks it's cause our bodies are used to the movements and don't notice the subtle ones as much.
