    Baby dropping

Should the whole pregnancy experience become painful after the baby has dropped? At my last antenatal I was 2/5ths engaged and bub seems to have dropped further over the weekend. I am getting pelvic and lower back pains when I move, which feel like my pelvis being wrenched apart. I am also getting baby movements much lower than previous, just above my pubic bone and they are hellishly uncomfortable, feels like every movement is stretching out my lower uterus. Whenever baby moves its head and turns a bit I get stabbing pains in my cervix, they take my breath away. I contacted the midwife and she seemed to think this was normal third trimester stuff but I still have 6 weeks to go and am praying that this isn't what I have to look forward too for the whole time. I was getting more frequent BH over the weekend but that has gone now. No bleeding/ discharge etc, I assume this is all just prelabour stuff.

    Hi There

yes its normal babies can engage at anytime then dis engage as well, they can do this right up untill birth

My baby engaged about the same time as u, u will feel a heavy feeling below and more pressure, its hard to walk sometimes, and i know the feeling of the sharp pains like ur vagina or uterus is being stabbed with a knife lol- its normally babies head moving around against u, it does take ur breathe away .

Ur bub may still dis engage during the rest of ur pregnancy , i just got used to the new feelings and the new way to walk lol..

But in saying all of this if its really unbearable and u are in a lot of pain demand to be checked out.

    good luck

ps i had lots of pre labour and BH and i had a great labour , and i thank all my pre labour for that
