Well shortly after posting I went to the loo to get a breather, and I'd had a show of blood. So if I wasn't worried already that certainly got me going! Rang DH, and went straight to KEMH from work. ED walked me straight upto Maternal & Fetal Monitoring and they put the ECG on immediately. Heartbeat strong and steady at 142 but needed to investigate little/no movement and bleeds. Seeing that heartbeat was more than reassuring for me, but then DH walked in frantic and teary eyed so boy the flood gates opened.
Had a cervical exam and they could see more fresh blood, so took swabs and blood tests then straight in for ultrasound. Baby is absolutely fine and kicked around a fair bit. The sonogropher printed us some great pics too
So they kept me in overnight to monitor bleed because I have had mild period like cramping for a couple days, which has been put down to being associated with the bleed, which has stopped, but they still don't know why I've bled. This morning doc wants to keep me in till Saturday morning for observation, groan!! I asked for another cervical exam to see if I'm still bleeding, because if I'm not I want to go home now. I'm 10 minutes from KEMH, if I had a contraction or more bleeds I'll be in here in a flash! I'm very happy with the care here so far, and I definitely don't want to be having my baby at 30 weeks.. but I really don't want to be in this bed alone and bored
Glad to hear bubs is doing everything right. I hope you're out of there soon - no matter how good the hospital its crap being stuck in a bed that isn't yours. I hope there's no more bleeding.
