    Baby's engagement

    Ok,

So I went to the Ob the other day and apparently Peanut is 3/5ths engaged. I know this might not mean much, but I was wondering whether Peanut might come a little earlier now engagement has started. This is my first pregnancy and I'm kinda hoping that Peanut comes a little early. Oh and I'm 37w 2 days pregnant.

    Thanks

Unfortunately it doesn't mean your bub will necessarily come early . Both my boys engaged nice and early (DS2 engaged fully at 36 weeks) and both were born overdue! DS1 was 8 days overdue and DS2 5 days. Apparently first babies do tend to engage fairly early.

Sorry to not raise your hopes LOL! It doesn't mean your bub WON'T come early though

Yeah I'm with Trish, sorry but it doesn't mean a thing.

My DD was 3/5 engaged from 28 weeks, at 39 weeks she was 5/5 then at 40+2 she was back up at 3/5 engaged until I went into labour soon after!

Sorry if thats not what you wanted to hear. I wish you all the best for a safe delivery of your little creation!

Sorry to say but the girls are right, it doesnt mean a thing. My first 2 engaged before 30 weeks, #1 was a week late, #2 was 3 days early. #3 engaged at about 35 weeks and was 6 days late.

Sorry Tara, but ditto. All but one of my kids engaged early, and all were post dates.

Well my DS engaged before 30 weeks, and he came at 35! But yeah, it really doesn't mean anything, I certainly didn't get my hopes up.

Hahahaha, that's pretty much what I figured I'm just eager for Peanut to come. I really just want to have my Bub in my arms

That is sooo normal, and we are already looking for signs that things will get moving soon-ish (not too soon, but in the next few weeks).

I know better this time though it will be a while yet

Agree with the other girls...DD1 was 3/5 engaged for many many weeks before she was born and she was 5 days over. I am 38 weeks with bubs no. 2 and has been 3/5 engaged for a good 5- 6 weeks. You are playing the aweful waiting game like me...hope it passes quickly for you (and me!!).

    Would be nice, wouldn't it.

The little tykes can sit there for ages. Daniel was 4/5 and sat there for about two weeks. I was walking like I had a broom stick up my bottom.
