    Bloody show? Double post

About an hour ago, I went to the bathroom and when I was wiping, there was a small amount of red blood on the toilet paper. Now, I am unsure as to whether this was my bloody show or whether (TMI!!) that came from my bowel movement.

From all the books and literature I read, the bloody show is pink tinged or brown mucus - this was a small amount of bright red blood.

    What do people think??????
I'm not freaking out, baby is still moving around as normal. Should I ring the hospital?
I've had nothing more since (and I've been in the bathroom lots checking).

    Thanks in advance

Can you use some toilet paper & see if the bleeding is coming from your bottom? It may be a hemorrhoid that is bleeding.
If not I would call your hospital just to make sure as things are not always as the books describe. My bloody show was bright red blood, just one time in my knickers.
    Good luck!!

Without sounding totally gross, I've had a "poke" around with toilet paper (both areas) and have had nothing since the tiny bit this morning at 8am.

I am thinking I might just ring my midwives and see what they think. I am getting very very mild cramps at the moment.

    Oh my.

Oooh very exciting!! If you aren't in any pain it is unlikely to be a hemarroid (sp) as they hurt quite a bit when they split.

Sounds like it could be happening... Good luck!

    OOHH exciting!!!!
When I had bloody show, it was pretty red, a small amount, like a tablespoon, that was at like 4pm, and then later at like 9pm I had more, and it was browny and mucusy, so that ascertained it for me. Water broke at 5am next morning. Good luck!!! Eat well and get rest today, coz you never know!!!

    Oh my.
I haven't had any more since. I'm on high alert now and am going to finish packing my bags! EEKK!

Even if this doesn't come to anything, thanks so much for your advice and input guys.

Hey, no more show or any cramps.

Am starting to wonder if it was a small amount of rectal bleeding - I've had that before at around 25 weeks.

Will keep an eye on things, have my Ob appointment on Thursday so will see what he says.

    Thanks for thinking of me!
