    Blurred vision

Yest. I really freaked out - my vision was really strange.

I have just been diagnosed also with GD. Does this have anything to do with it.

It went away after an hr or so....

How is your blood pressure? I think that can do funny things to vision.

When I was around 28 weeks I had blurry spots in my vision, went numb on one side (face and arm) and couldn't think of correct words to finish a sentence. I was freaking out that I was having a stroke or something. I had a dr appointment that night and he said it was a headache-less migraine. Sounded like a load to me but it didn't happen again anyway. Prior to that I had a night where I lost my peripheral vision, couldn't see anything that wasn't straight ahead. It was really creepy. I also had GD but don't know if that had anything to do with it.

If you can get hold of anyone today it might be best to ring up and check with a doctor or midwife to be on the safe side.

Artichem - yes I also had a big headache with it so took some panadols. I was like in a daze too..... I wear glasses and even these didn't help with my vision. Luckily I wasn't 'driving'.....

Could have been a migraine then, I think people are more prone to them in pregnancy.

Hope you are feeling better today and are having a great low G.I Christmas

That used to happen to me about an hour before I'd get a migraine...

Same here...a visual disturbance like a shimmering in one eye and then POW, the migraine would hit.

. . . this sounds like pre-eclampsia to me. Have you had it checked out? If you haven't you need to go to hospital immediately.
