BP - How much of a change is too much?

How much difference from lowest level to highest level is a concern? My BP at it's lowest this pg was 90/50, and was usually around the 100/50 mark. Recently it is up to 105/75, meaning the bottom number has gone up by half as much again. This is while I am resting constantly and usually have my feet up. My ankles have swelled and wont go down, even when I am sleeping with them on 2 pillows and sitting with them on an ottoman. DH has been rubbing my feet most nights and I am drinking quite a bit. They are getting quite stiff and are sometimes numb. Any tips? How worried should I be? I have a MW appointment on Wednesday, should I leave it till then or call someone tomorrow?

Knowing how quickly preeclampsia can progress, I wouldn't wait. It's better to be safe than sorry

Ali, I would just give them a call - can't hurt to just check it with them

Will call them tomorrow, The girls will be at CC tomorrow and FIL is pretty much at my beck and call. Have had a bit of a headache that could be attributed to lack of sleep, but considering the pain meds I am on already and the fact that I am am getting these headaches with a regular dose of Panadeine Forte... Will call them, I promise.

Those numbers wouldnt have concerned anyone not paying attention to previous ones. Having your diastolic (minimum arterial pressure) go up in such a big jump though is a bit concerning. I have a home BP monitor - we got it to help identify why I was dizzy and the best course of action to take (Food or lay down), but I've never had any big jumps in either number. I'd probably get it checked again to be sure. Especially with the swelling.

Course, your body may be helping you in getting that c-s. LOL. Hope you are okay though. I'd rather you not develop PE too.

    Hi Alioops
Your BP has gone up a little more than I would like, however if you have no other symptoms apart from swollen ankles and occasional numbness then you don’t need to go to the hospital now but I would suggest that you call them in the morning. Keep an eye on your BP and if you get any other symptoms such as dizziness, pain in your tummy at the top of your bump, blurred vision or a headache then you would probably be better to get checked out

Went in this morning for some monitoring. BP was 120/70 which is still normal range but a little high for me. Trace of protein in urine and normal CTG. They did bloods and will call me this arvo if anything is wrong. In the meantime I have to keep my pressure stockings on and feet up - which is what I was already doing.
