Hey Lisa, I think that is probably what has happened. I've read that around this time (for first time mums) bubs can drop and you find it easier to breath.

    Hey LisaBear

when the baby drops or engages into the pelvis, this is called lightening, and it eases the pressure on the diaphragm...making it easy to take a nice deep breath...and also reduces heartburn

this happens with most first time mums at around 38ish weeks...and indicates that the baby is engaged in the pelvis for birth (which may still be 2 weeks away)

of course now the baby will be head butting your bladder

    Hey LisaBear,

Don't you just love the freedom of breathing again! You are one step closer to the big day as your baby is getting settled in your pelvis. Well, like Yogababy mentioned above, you will get an additional discomfort though... your bladder feels full all the time because of the added pressure. But at least, you know it's all worth it! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
