brown blood after i wipe (maybe TMI)

i am 40 weeks + 5 days and had mild cramps last night.
when i wiped this morning i noticed brown blood but no mucas?
Is this a bloody show?

I'm really sorry, I shouldn't be even replying as I'm not sure but didn't want to say nothing at all.
I'd call the hospital to be on the safe side, Your baby is well and truely ready to come 'out' (40w+3D) So could very possibly be time. I never saw my show with my 1st, So not sure. I always thought brown blood was old blood. I'm sure the hosp would be happy to take your call, possibly even ask you to come in!?? Good luck, hope all goes well!

Yes it does sound like a bloody show to me. I had alot of "blood" as such every time i dilated a bit further when pregnant with Lilli.

Yep it sounds like the beginnings of a 'show' - your cervix is getting itself ready for labour. I had a little bit of brown blood like that too with mine, but I never actually had a full on mucousy show.

i rang the hosy & they said not to worry about this. Its just a show due to my OB stretching my cervix yesterday

Haha, I also just called the hossy and they told me not to worry! Only if I start getting regular contractions should I be concerned! You take care x
