I only realised after giving birth that the sharp sensations I had from 39 weeks were actually contractions. I am always more sensitive sexually during pg, but not quite as intense as you! Sounds like your body is warming up. In more ways than one!
So excited for you, you're going to give birth soon!
Have you watched Orgasmic Birth? I know we're talking "orgasmic pregnancy" here but it's very related. I like the way they discuss how pregnancy and birth is all part of a woman's sexuality. It's okay and perfectly normal for you to enjoy and experience the same range of sexual responses during pregnancy and birth as you do during intercourse.
Who knows how the sensations will continue... as spock moves you may find the feeling goes away rather than gets more intense. Maybe keep unpacking these feelings and release yourself to the sensation. You may be one of the lucky women who gets to orgasm during birth!
I didn't feel what you're describing (just the full on sexy dreams), but another mother from my playgroup did. We were pregnant at the same time and she talked about almost having orgasms from baby's position... I was so jealous She also almost orgasmed during birth but stifled the feeling as she didn't like her attending midwife and didn't feel comfortable enough with her in the room.
DS1 had this very cheeky trick of kicking or headbutting me *right* in the cervix at inopportune times ... like, at work! in the middle of a meeting or a presentation, I'd suddenly have this oh so wrong sensation ... and it feels ... nice ... but not the kind of nice you want to be getting from your son!
'cause let's get real, it's like very deep penetration ... but from the other side ... !
so yes, yes it happens. oh yes.
and yes, it feels completely inappropriate, given *who* is causing it.
but there's obviously nothing wrong with it, and there's nothing much you can do about it.
they don't mean it, you're not seeking it, and hey, it gives you an *awesome* potential story to embarrass the pants of your kid at their 18th birthday party!!
as with so many other odd preggo symptoms, you've just got to go with the flow
Right before Miss A was born she was sitting fairly low and I also got this sensation. I felt weird for having it. It was painful, but a pleasant pain iykwim? She was teeny for a 29weeker, so didn't get it all the time, only when I was laying down...
It was the best part of pregnancy with DD It didn't happen with DS though unfortunately, I kept waiting and waiting for it!
I also found that after delivering DS vaginally (DD was a c-section), BDing is even better than before! Maybe it is down to increased sensitivity, I am not sure, but I am def not complaining
