    Bubs coming early?

Is there any way you can tell if bubs is going to arrive early?

I have committed to working until 36.5 weeks & I'm getting a bit worried that bubs will arrive early & I won't have time at home before he's born!!

i don't know about other people, but for me...there is no way you can possibly predict when bubs is gonna be born. if you had told me when i finished work 9 weeks ago!!! that i would still be sitting here waiting i wouldn't have believed them!!

Ezz just to throw another possibility into the mix - my first came on his due date!! I don't think there is any way of knowing when bubs will come - the first person to accurately come up with a way to predict birthdates will make more money than Bill Gates LOL!!

hi there, with my first i finished up at 33.5 weeks and baby arrived at 34.5 weeks so i only had one week off before he arrived! at the time there was no indication that he would arrive so early although looking back now i should have probably spotted the signs. with the 2nd i finished up at 31 weeks just in case and was induced at 38.5 weeks so there was a long waiting period - i got a bit bored. this third time around i finished up when i was 11 weeks pregnant as i was really sick and i found it pretty tough not being at work but just in the last two weeks (am now 32 weeks) i am loving the fact im not at work and can spend time with my older two.

36.5 weeks sounds like a good time to finish up and i guess if bubs comes early than you can deal with that then.

    best wishes

I'm finishing work in 56 sleeps - so about 6 weeks before my due date. Ramlet is due in about 97 days...not that I'm counting!!!

I finished work at 31 weeks as I was advised to take it easy after going into early labour when I was only 23 weeks pregnant (which thankfully was stopped). I naturally thought that my DS would make his entrance early because of the previous attempt at showing up but he was actually born at 42 weeks!

So no, there is no way to tell if your little one will make an early entrance, when it's time, it's time!

I finshed work at 37 wks, was also worried about not having enough time at home but at the same time I didnt want to wait too long and i had convinced myself that bubs would be late as it was my 1st. He was born at 39 wks, my OB had predicted that he would be born that week at my appointment a few days earlier as i was already 3cm dilated and had had a bloody show... but there was no predicting it any earlier than that...
I think 36.5 wks is a good time to finish, you willlikely have some time off but not too long - and if your baby does come early, well it is a nice surprise to have!
